Not much to see

This is easily visible from the road but you cannot get specifically close to the turbines and there is little data available.

We drove past the windfarm on our way to Port Fairy. The sign on the road reads viewing platform so we thought we would stop on our way back as it was on the other side of the road. The windfarm itself is fascinating, but the photos I took from the viewing platform could have nearly been taken from the... More

Looked forward to getting up close and personal with the windmills You could see them from some distance on the road. Followed the road signs only to get there and find a viewing platform miles away from the windmills/farm. Disappointed. Don't even bother stopping. Its not worth it.

We were keen to check out the windfarm we could see from the road and hurriedly followed the signs to the viewing area. Only to get there and find that access is restricted to 20m off the highway except for pre-booked tours?? I have no idea why this is the case as we could have easily driven much closer to... More

It's just a wind farm, nothing special. You can't go amongst the windmills, you can only look from a viewing area by the road.

The viewing platform is too far away to take any decent photos. I love wind farms - majestic and and clean energy. Should be more of them.

There is plenty of wind in this area of Victoria, why not using it to produce power? A visit to the wind farm is worth the short trip from Port Fairy.

Certainly not a blight on the landscape (thanks Joe Hockey for that one)! Gives you a good sense of the scale of the things.

A wind farm is just windmills that collect wind to generate power. They are a bit boring to say the least. I went past these for a long time before looking at seeing them close up. It does cost to see them closer.
