This place was a complete surprise. I would highly recommend others to check it out as it is very interesting to see the formations from the high vantage point.

We found this beauty by making a wrong turn, was definitely worth it. It is well signed when driving along and is worth it for the sensational view. Was crazy windy when we went, but very picturesque 360 degree views of the area and lake.

At the top of red rock you cam get amazing views of the volcanic plains of the western district. Surrounded by a number of small crater lakes (when not dry) taking in the expanse of lakd corangamite a large salt water lake

short drive from Colac, red rock had great views of the surrounding lands, volcanic craters and lakes; esp when viewed from the lookout at the top of the rock. worth a visit if travelling to colac area.

From the lookout at the top of the stairs or just from the car park the views are stunning, it is worth the drive out to see. It is a short drive out of Colac but you won't be disappointed, views over Lake Corangamite turn around and you can see Colac. There are different mountain ranges to pick out. It... More

The view from the lookout was unexpected... it was suggested that i do a drive around to Beeac and back to Colac but while there is no water in the lakes the drive is not worth it!

Went on a weekday and the place was deserted so we had the views to ourselves. This is about the only attraction in Colac worth visting if you happened to be passing through. A few minutes drive from Colac main street, you can drive all the way up to the top of the hill. Great for photo taking though.

There would be great views from here on a clear day. Unfortunately when I went there was rain, wind (more like gales!) and cloud about, so the views were only good. Red Rock is up on an old volcanic crater, so the countryside is laid out all round to see.

This 10,000 year old Volcano is worth a tour if passing through Colac. It is about a 10 min drive from the centre of Colac through farmland. You can drive to the top of both peaks via a bitumen road. The views from the top are really good looking out and over Lake Corrangamite. In the distance are other extinct Volcanos... More
