So you're committed to hike the Great Ocean Walk - brilliant choice! Stunning, diverse, and crammed with wonderful wildlife (I saw echidnas for the first time in the wild!). And now you're considering the logistics. We, four persnickety older women who usually do our own, will sing the praises of Walk91 to you and any others who will listen.
We turned up and hiked. Walk91 did everything else - constructed the itinerary (flexible to our preferences, responsive communication), booked accommodation (fantastic), provided daily track insights (accurate), transported us to/from trailheads each day (prompt, efficient, clear and easy communication), moved our luggage on (v helpful). Could not fault them on any of it. But that's just the start - they absolutely shone in two other areas, winning us over completely. The FOOD. It was fresh, it was local and it was home cooked. It was delicious. It was bountiful. The LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. We heard stories of nature and recent history, tasted delicious ice cream, were advised how to locate koalas. Walk91 were hosting us in their town, not just providing an exceptional service.

We were so happy with the level of support, safety, accommodations, and food provided by Walk91. Our guide/ driver Brad taught us a lot about native animals and history of the area. We are in our late 60’s and although there was a lot more elevation change in the daily walks than we expected, we didn’t have trouble completing the walk in 6 days. The wildlife was fantastic and the scenery spectacular!

Our group of friends walked the GOW to celebrate 50 years of friendship. Walk 91 provided an experience second to none for us. The accomodation and provision of food was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt they really cared about our experience. Driver Brad was a legend. The itinerary needed adapting due to weather conditions and we were grateful to be in the hands of local knowledge. Definitely recommend this company for anyone wanting to explore this wonderful part of the world.

The service provided by Walk91 was terrific. Staff were friendly, punctual and full of lots of local information. We had beautiful accommodation provided for our two nights stay… it certainly was a great surprise at to be at such a high-quality venue. We were very appreciative of the hearty meals provided at night and treated our self a beautiful breakfast each day.
The texting throughout the walk worked well and having the emergency beacon with us was a really good idea. I made us feel safe in case anything happened.

We've done supported hiking and cycling all over the world. Walk-91 is as good as it gets. With a loaner phone, emergency beacon and regular check-in points, we always felt safe and supported. Our driver, Brad, was more than a driver, he was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The flexibility of the entire crew made our walk perfect. The food was great, you won’t go hungry!

Stunning coastline and awesome support by Walk91. These guys are local, know the area so well, so attentive, and we just felt so supported. Meant we could just focus on the path & being out there in the beauty of it all without a care.

We just completed the 7 day Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles with Walk 91. The organisation of Mark and his team, and the way all the moving parts come together, are so good and made it so completely stress free from our point of view. We really appreciated that we could do the whole walk without carrying a full pack and camping gear. We would never have been able to do it otherwise and would have missed out on a remarkable week in such an outstanding natural environment.
We thoroughly enjoyed the company of all our drivers, they were so generous with their time and knowledge and are all so passionate about the area. The food was abundant and absolutely delicious.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

We adored our walk along the Great Ocean Walk with Walk 91. My wife and I and two dear friends enjoyed 6 glorious days wandering in and out of tall forests, ambling along beaches next to the waves of the Southern Ocean and staying in posh lodges. We particularly want to thank the Walk 91 folk for their attention to detail and willingness to adapt to our needs at every turn.

We did the 7 day walk from Apollo Bay to the 12 Apostles and it was fantastic! The whole experience was seamless from an organisation perspective. We were picked up and dropped off daily, with information on what to do.
Meals were beautiful and plentiful. Nothing like tucking into some lamb shanks and mash after a long day of hiking!
Our driver Brad was funny and informative.
The walk itself was stunning! It was our first multi day walk and it's inspired us to do more. Fantastic to see so much wildlife on the walk - I had never seen a Koala in the wild and we saw lots of them! Echidna's, seals, wallabies, kangaroos were amongst the others.
We also loved that it was self guided, so we could go at our own pace, have a swim and eat our lunch whenever we wanted.
Hands down a truly wonderful experience and we can't recommend enough!

The Great Ocean Walk, and Walk 91, both far exceeded expectations! The walk was stunning, challenging at times, but my 87 year old mother and I loved every minute. I can’t recommend Walk 91 highly enough. Every aspect of their operation is exemplary. The personnel, the food, the accomodation, the promptness of transfers, and the very open line of communication was amazing.

We will be staying at Apollo Bay for 3 nights in January. What walks would you recommend? We will be returning to our accomodation nightly.
We are rather fit, so long walks is ok.

We do offer three day walks out on the Great Ocean Walk Track on our website. 'Hike the Cape' covers the first 3 days of the walk, and the 12 Apostles end of the walk includes the last three days of the track. If you are basing yourself in Apollo Bay you could do the first half of the track so that you don't have really long transfers every day back to Apollo Bay. If you look at the walking km's on our website this will give you an idea of how far the walking legs are. Please email us and we will quote you for transfer/ shuttles, and check our availability, based on the option/dates you choose.Thank you.
