This is a real Queensland gem and many people are to be acknowledged and admired for the work that they have put into the restoration of the site. It's an interesting part of our history

We spent an hour at this lovely relaxing spot on top of a hill overlooking the farmland around the Cunningham Highway. The gardens are beautiful and it was lovely just to sit on a bench, enjoy the breeze and the atmosphere. There isn't a lot to see here compared to a European historic house, but still worth a look! Nice... More

This countryside is extraordinarily green at the moment. The homestead is surrounded by picturesque scenery and farms. Set in a beautiful part of the world only 1 1/2 hours pleasant drive form Brisbane!

I love historical displays that show you both the unrestored and the restored. This magnificent building has this feature with lots more work to be done yet. But the bones of the building readily convey the grandeur of years past. Delightful information centre attached with great food. As they say on the counter "We don't serve fast food, but we... More

I visited yesterday and was delighted to discover that the house is still in a semi-rundown state as I love abandoned, ruined buildings. A lot of excellent work has been done to restore the house and preserve its contents but it was the rundown portions that I enjoyed the most - great for photography! One thing I wanted to mention... Lot of history about the house and it's owners, particularly that the house seems to be not completed

A great look at colonial heritage in the region. Staff were awesome and café is impressive and professional. The Homestead is fascinating and signage on the walkways is informative. The view from the top is excellent. Great value for money to see a different era for the region.
