    Fantastic all-round beach!
Mooloolaba Beach has something for everyone! Excellent swimming beach, interesting rock pools and rock formations to explore, great parklands just above beach, playground and climbing equipment for kids to enjoy, great walking paths and more. Many interesting shops and eating places on the Main Street running along the beach access. Difficult to park near the beach though (very busy) but is a car park within walking distance which is $5 for all day parking.

Top for fun waves and entertainment at the beach
The waves were just perfect to body surfing and jumping at Manly Beach, Australia! A great place to shop and eat right at the beach too! We cane by accident during a surfing competition that was also fun to watch. Great excitement on the beach that day.

I have just figured out what makes Mooloolaba shine over most other epic Sunshine Coast villages. Context: I've visited the Sunny Coast a few times since the early 1980s Caloundra = too big Noosa = overhyped Alex Heads = not too bad Maroochydore = exposed to the north. Mooloolaba is sheltered by the spit to the south-east (perfect for sundowners) and sheltered from the north by Alexandra Headlands The sea temp is about 0.5 deg warmer than all of the above. Disclaimer: I am biased as I have friends there, but thinking seriously about making it my home.

This is a great beach area with the famous .."Loo with a View" (for our overseas guests ( "Loo". is Australian slang for Toilet)

It is so nice that occasionally P & O stop by on the odd cruise and bring their guests ashore for the day,

It is a patrolled beach with numerous restaurant and high rise accommodation apartments, Hotels along its foreshore, as well as the Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club. Also the newly refurbished and built Caravan Park along the Boardwalk area.

The restaurants vary from upmarket (catering to various cuisine styles) to takeaways and coffee bars.

As stated this beach is patrolled and you should ALWAYS swim between the flags - this area is selected by the Surf Lifesavers that is safe from deadly rips and they monitor it from the watch tower. Make your holiday a safe one.

Parking is currently a real problem, but there is a multi level car park behind the front line of accommodation apartments/Hotels near to Brisbane Road being constructed.

The beach is well utilised with pop up volleyball courts being put in on various early evenings with great lighting as the evening progresses and open to all to participate. It has children play areas and occasionally trampolines are set up on the beach for all ( including small children to use , but it is pay to play

It is the start of the Mooloolaba Boardwalk which runs from Mooloolaba Beach to the Spit a well constructed walkway with overhead lighting making it accessible 24/7 and used extensively by dogs and their walkers, people walking for exercise, joggers and the odd bike rider and skate boarder ( the latter two are advised in one section to not ride them. Walking at a steady pace it takes about 45- 60 minutes to do the round trip if you start from the Loo with a View.

On New Years Eve the area is used to stage firework displays and it is used once a year for their Triathlon.

In general this is great for couples, Family with young and Teen aged children and solo ( but its better with someone by your side - even your dog) I visit this place often on average about once a fortnight over the course of 12 months

Walk along the exposed rocks or take a walk in the sand. It’s a busy place especially at dusk when the walkers and joggers are out, and families are on the beach playing in the shallow water. What a great are to bring up kids.

Mooloolaba is a great place for a beach holiday. I normally walk to Cartwright's Point or Alexandra Heads every day early to start the day. The beach is very safe with competent life guards, the aquarium is a must see and I rate it above the one in Cairns. The strip as plenty of excellent eating places and I usually go to Entice. The food at the surfers restaurant is great with amazing views and if you want to make money try their pokies!! I normally go at Easter or October and the weather is always good. A great place for young families - I will always give it a 5 star rating.

Mum and I parked at Alexandra Headland near the Bluff and did the Coastal walk to Mooloolaba Beach one Saturday morning in September 2022 . We used to do this walk often when I was a kid (Mum, Dad, Ryan and Nanny & Grampy and I). It is still a winner (though much busier these days) and the views of the ocean from the elevated coastal cliffs are brilliant. There are plenty of things to spot from the cliffs including the Point Cartwright jetty and lighthouse behind it, and Old Woman Island in the other direction (which I still think looks more like a giant whale than an old woman), as well as the surfers catching barrels. There is a new walkway on the Mooloolaba end which takes you along the beach side heading towards the Loo with a View. The day we went there was a local triathlon happening so there was a lot of excitement in the air. When we got to Mooloolaba we found a café (Black Fox, not far from the Mooloolaba Surf Club) and I got a cuppa and a bacon and egg roll (Mum was not hungry as usual!). The walk back is the same way, but you get a different viewing perspective, and we say at least a dozen water dragons/lizards (I think they were eastern water dragons) along the path.

A large portion was fenced off to allow remedial sand works to be done after the recent storms. Wide sand stretches, gentle slope into the water and with a small swell when we were there made it the ideal choice for families. There is a pathway alongside the beach park and some of the structures alongside the beach offer protection should a rain cloud suddenly appear. Plenty of people "working" from the park benches/tables while taking in the view and i can understand why.

Has to be one of the best beaches. Water is clean and has benign waves. It is patrolled and has all the facilities you require. Be careful of the rocks at the western end but they are obvious. The Council invests in the area and rightly the beach attracts a crowd. The beach is long and is not challenged for room. A beautiful family beach.

Lovely for a walk on anytime of the day. There is now a fabulous new boardwalk built and is great for walking on. There is section where bike riders are supposed to dismount but there are a lot of riders who ignore the signs so beware, when you walk on this section, of fast moving bikes. Just recently the council has been doing more great upgrades to the picnic areas which will be ready soon.

Sun, sand, sea and surf. Mooloolaba Beach has it all. Blue sky, blue sea, good surf as well as a nice quieter bay where there is less and more family friendly wave action.

The esplanade cafe strip is only 5 mins away. The Loo With A View is a nice spot to look over the beach and watch family members and friends, use the clean toilets and showers. Great bbq facilities are also available.

This beach was beautiful. So many wonderful shops and restaurants nearby, with parks for the kids and great amenities. I just happened to be there when the weather was really bad which affected the quality of the ocean. Due to heavy rains and wind, the water was dirty, murky and really not pleasant. But when it would clear, all you are left with as crystal clear blue water with amazing waves.

I would strongly recommend this beach. It is absolutely beautiful.

In lockdown in Mooloolaba, we frequent this beach most days, irrespective of the weather which has been wonderful.

There are several car parks along the town side of the beach and as it extends out onto the Spit. There are two designated zones protected by lifeguards, one in the centre of the town and one along the Spit.

We usually walk the complete length of the beach, 2 kilometres each way, at the waters edge to stretch the legs and what a wonderful way to get some excercise. Stunning views, clear blue water and hardly any people.

Shallow water, great for children of all ages, and lots of nice belly boarding waves. An ideal beach. If I could design a family beach this would be it. Recommended
