Lots of walks in this park. If you get there early before the crowds, you will see lots of bird-life. Great sitting areas under cover (one sponsored by the local Rotary club), large playground, great bathroom facilities, BBQ's, little beach area,. Great spot to do a bit of a paddle around on a stand-up board or kayak. Even some nice wide paths around the immediate grounds for wheelchairs

We had a huge family breakfast here after attending a family wedding. The park was so lovely and green. The lagoon is very scenic. There was plenty of BBQs and a great boatramp.

Access too narrow and insufficient parking areas for big rigs. We parked on the riverside adjacent to the Water Park area.

The river level was slowly dropping after the floods but the park alongside has artworks and it was a pleasant walk along with lots of locals and the occasional tourist.

We had a look around the Natural Heritage and Water Park by walking along parts of it. I think during summer weekends the ambience would be different but fun!

We dropped in to take a look at the Goondiwindi Natural Heritage and Water Park and were very impressed.
It was cold and windy the day we were there so it was empty. There is a big concrete ramp so you can launch boats for wake boarding or skiing. Would also be a great place to go kayaking or do a bit of bird watching. There are pretty views of the river which has a area designated to swimming and has a sandy beach.
The park itself is huge with amenities, picnic tables, Bbqs and a great kids playground.

Great spot for a walk, lots of birdlife, excellent facilities, good boating opportunities.Top spot for a picnic, or a brisk walk. The main track along the water is a bit stony and hard on the feet, the side tracks are excellent

I would like to know if it is suitable for caravans and if sites big enough to leave cars hitched overnight
Written July 29, 2019
hi, are caravans able to camp there and keep their cars hitched for the night?
