Absolutely loved Ritz in Randwick. It's old and has character and extremely friendly staff. Only downside is that is doesn't have a car park and street parking in that area is very busy and can be hard to find.
If you're after a less commercialised, affordable, nostalgic theatre than this is a place you'll love. Cheap snacks, full bar, variety of theatre styles and sizes, and at least 10 films to choose from (not just the big blockbusters). Highly recommend. I go weekly. :)
My first visit to this classic old school cinema was to see the new Australian film Broke. The cinema reminded me of my childhood when every suburb seemed to have an Art Deco cinema with a candy bar.
