This place is well set out. It refracts Slim Dusty's life, marriage and singing career. Well organised great staff well set out for walking in. Great parking, great cafe, great story of a renowned Aussie icon Slim Dusty.

If you are in Kempsey the Slim Dusty Museum is a must see as it is a magnificent museum about a GREAT AUSTRALIAN and his family and all his achievements of him throughout his life time. It is truly worth the entry fee to visit.

Definitely worth a visit, Slim is the king of aussie country music, the cafe and gift shop and museum are well set out and a great opportunity to take a break, located just off the freeway on the south side of kempsey

Amazing to say the least! The centre is a must see, and the volunteers are lovely! Definately exceeded my expectations, as I have been wanting to go since I heard it was being built!

Enjoyed the entire experience being able to learn facts about Slim Dusty and his family that I hadn’t known before. The experience also enlighten our children about how Slim Dusty’s music career came about.

You might look up places around Newcastle, which is about 2 and a bit hours from Sydney. Another option if you like wineries could be to stop at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley and is a lovely place to explore. I'm not sure... More

Just head north on the Pacific Highway until you reach the Kempsey exit which takes you along the Macleay Valley Way into Kempsey. You pass the Slim Dusty Centre along the way. You can't miss it.
