The area you go to, to go to the falls is the beginning of many treks you can do to see many beautiful sights. You can decide what you want to see and choose which ever track you want. Some of the treks can be 4+ hours, or you can choose parts of it to see different tourist spots, of... More

We did the full hike which is a long HARD hike but well worth it for the gorgeous scenery and waterfalls you encounter.

Most people only have time to do the short walk to view the waterfall. But if you have the time, and the fitness level, I would strongly recommend walking down to the far bottom, not the midway point. It is a difficult descend and numerous steep long ladders to climb. I would not recommend it to unfit people, children or... More

The Wentworth falls are just fantastic. Situated up in the blue mountains The views are stunning and breathtaking We stayed only for a few hours but here are lots of different graded walks you can do Wear a good pair of shoes but also take a towel and your swimwear as the waterfalls are just great to swim in ;)

Pick a cool day and make sure you take walking shoes, backpack and swimmers for a tip. Breathtaking!

Despite the fog and light rain, this was a really awesome hike. The signs are accurate, it took us less than an hour (in flip flops) to walk to the falls. Most of the path was man-made, so accessible for most people of ages and fitness levels (not stroller/pram or wheelchair accessible). The views from the look offs around the... More

The falls are just a short drive from Katoomba and after of the hustle and bustle of the scenic viewing point are blissfully serene. I confess that having sampled the spectacular water falls of Iceland I had been a bit sniffy regarding Australia's flowing waters but as we turned a corner on our spectacular walk around the rim of the... We went following quite a bit of rain so slippery in places but reasonable paths so take it steady. It is quite a walk for best view points but worth it. You can go right down to the bottom and swim if youbwant to go the extra - we didnt ..

If you're interested in hiking then this is the place an S there are many trail options and they're very well marked. Caution though that in the parking lot and the nearby lookouts you get your typical rush of tourists. Get off the beaten path though and you find a private quiet world.
