I did the Hop and Off bus tour through both Katoomba and Leura. Just a fantastic part of Australia, seeing all of those views including the three sisters. It is really great that the area really caters for Tourists. Can't wait to visit again.
A beautiful place to visit even on your own but I recommend a tour so that your guide can inform you of the vast history in the area. It was very interesting learning about the indigenous people. You hike down into the mountain and coming...More
A beautiful region - there are countless walks and hikes that take in ferny glens, mossy gullies, waterfalls & breathtaking views of orange escarpment framed in eucalyptus & an endless variety of wildflowers.

Breathtaking views, beautiful bush walks, great restaurants - hard to fit it all in one visit. I would highly recommend a visit to Scenic World, The 3 Sister's lookout at Echo Point, Wentworth Falls and the Everglades Gardens at Leura.
The Blue Mountains is a world heritage icon and every Australian should visit the region at least once in their lifetime so it is indeed a 'bucket list' item.

So much to see and do. Many great restaurants and cafes. Fantastic views of wild or vast valleys and mountains from many easily accessed lookouts.Do your research before you visit as it is impossible to experience it all in one or two days.
One of the prettiest natural wonders. Caught a pretty sunset the evening before and then had a walk amongst the Three Sisters and the walking track. Highly recommended trek and walk along the valley floor. The climb down the Giant Staircase is exhilarating.
Plenty of beautiful views and attractions - from walks, scenic cable gondolas to local shops and food. Echo Point is a must, there are short walks around the area to see the mountains from different perspectives.

We rented a car to drive from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. We stayed in Katoomba (don't miss the great pizza place there!!!, see other review) and drove up to the scenic site of the Three Sisters. We walked. I am not an enthusiastic walker, but even for me it was no problem. I hate cable cars, scares the living daylight out of me, so I avoid them whenever possible. You really don't need them to have a fabulous view over the mountain tops. Have fun you guys!
Shouldn't be a problem. How ever I'd highly recommend you dress up very warmly In July. It's winter so hope you guys remember to pack warm clothes. As far as the weather goes..you might need to look at the local weather... More
Shouldn't be a problem. How ever I'd highly recommend you dress up very warmly In July. It's winter so hope you guys remember to pack warm clothes. As far as the weather goes..you might need to look at the local weather forecasts for Blue Mountains and see which days are great for an outdoor adventure.
HAve an awesome time.
