I booked the tour package for transport and tickets to the Lucas and Chifley Caves. I didn't realize at the time, but the schedule allowed for most people on the bus to do this as a day trip from Sydney. Our driver checked to make sure everyone was on the bus and managed to get us back to Katoomba so... More

Unless you hanker for tourist traps don't waste your money, get an Opal (Bus) card and catch the regular bus number 686 every half hour to and from the Scenic World park. You will save at least 50% if not more. It's also much quicker than the Trolleybus which goes the long way round hourly. The last regular 686 bus... More

We took the Trolley Tours Chifley and Lucas Caves package. Our driver, Dave, was very friendly and responsible.  The journey to Jenolan Caves was comfortable. The package saved us the trouble of queuing for the cave entrance tickets. He also gave us clear directions to the toilet and caves as well as the return trip. On the way back to... More

At $25 per head, this is an expensive way to get around. I suppose that there may be some stops which are not accessible by public transport. You should plan your activities carefully so that you can enjoy your day out at the Blue Mountains without resorting to this option.

Took a two day hop on, hop off trolley bus while staying recently (Late July) in the Blue Mountains. Booked and paid for at where we were staying in Leura (Waldorf Hotel) at $25 per person. Took our luggage with us to Katoomba (next Hotel stop - Lilianfels Resort), and spent the rest of the day hopping off and on.... More

We took the train to Katoomba from Sydney. Got on the Blue Mountain Trolley tours at the train station and we were able to stop at 29 sights. Be sure to pick the best sights as there really isn't time to do more then a few.

pretty good service : our bus was always on time as scheduled and the drivers were very nice. However I found the hop on hop off your very useless. A good part of the stops are not on the edge of the cliff so you can't see anything interesting. Out of the "29 great stops", 3 are resorts (which is... More

Dear MathildeP21, Thank you for your positive feedback. We will ensure we pass on your kind comments to our staff. In regards to your feedback regarding a driver taking a phone call, we will investigate this as it may well have been an operational call requiring the driver to answer the phone. This Trolley Bus could be very good or not so good, depends om how long you have time in Katoomba. It is not because of this trolley bus services, but because of the geographical location of Katoomba. A lot of visitors are unaware that Katoomba is NOT in Sydney city, It is 118 km west of Sydney at Blue Mountain.... More
