You need to walk a bit to get to the falls. The path is good and comfortable. On the way you have some very nice views. The falls are small but look pretty.

Guess we should have asked around before setting off to see the falls. It is a bit of a walk and the view was worth it but no falls, just a wet rock. Heard there has been a drought so maybe that is why?

We followed the path down from Katoomba Cascades toward Katoomba Falls but didn't see the falls. A stunning cliff face, yes, A magnificent view over the valley, yes. Scenic World's Scenic Skyway cable car overhead, yes. But no waterfall. Turns out it was beneath us. Signage isn't clear and several paths merge and diverge, but keep walking (follow the crowds) and you'll eventually turn a corner, walk up a hill, look down across a valley and see this beautiful segmented waterfall on the Kedumba River. TIPS --This is Stop 8 on the hop-on hop-off Blue Mountains Explorer Bus. A must in my opinion. You can also reach it via Stop 7, the Katoomba Cascades stop. Many people get off at one stop and reboard at the other. --When you do finally get a view of the falls, look beyond the big cliff next to the falls and you can see the Three Sisters rock formation!

Not the highest, the biggest or the widest falls we have ever seen, but the mist occasioned by heavy rain made it kind of magical. We were on the hop on hop off bus tour and decided to stretch our legs with a short walk to the falls, despite the rain. Not at all slippery, but very, very drippy. The rain got heavier but the view of the waterfall and beyond made it worthwhile. Lots of viewpoints, some of them offering shelter. Worth getting off the bus for.

The falls were fairly light during the time we were there. I'm sure they are much more spectacular after a good rainfall. Still, the view was nice. This is a very scenic area.
