Great place for yoga!

I am not a big swimmer, but a regular to yoga classes held at Wylies love it when there's a sea breeze, looking out to the ocean, couldn't image a better place.

Amazeballs! Tip1 : $5 entry fee per adult and children have to pay I think $3.50, which sticks in my craw a bit as I am so used to brilliant beaches a beach pools for free. BUT It is well worth it. Tip2 : heaps of stairs so be aware if you have an issue with that. Tip3 : no... More

Wandered up away from the crowds on the main beach to discover this historical place. Mina Wylie, 1912 Olympian has her statue here. Nice food as well as unique swimming place

This is a great little spot along the Coogee beach area. Gorgeous coast line and beautiful water. I went in the morning time and it was awesome, I think that around sunset would be lovely as well. Great place to run along or take a scenic walk!

This is a lovely place to swim. It is so nice to have the waves crashing over you. Clearly not a place to go in bad weather.

I love Wylies and have been going there for over 15 years. The view is one of the best in the world; whales migrate past. I swim here nearly every day, winter and summer.

Coogee little secret, a large pool cut our of the rocks. I saw a humpback whale out to sea and a bird diving in the pool in front of me to catch a fish. You have to pay but there's changing rooms and toilets and a cafe.

Staying in Coogee

Neighborhood Profile
Coogee
Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs that does not have big waves, making it an excellent family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity footballers! A little further south is Wylie’s Baths, offering sweeping 180 degree views over the Pacific Ocean, and it is perfect for a swim or a few laps. Plenty of dining choices surround the beach, including the famous fish and chips.
