Awesome spot to kick back whilst enjoying some gorgeous sunshine, opening the pages of your latest book, having a dip in the refreshing water or getting a few laps of the lagoon in and enjoying the incredible views of downtown Airlie Beach .

We were told by a representative from Discover Queensland that the lagoon is open again after the Cyclone. It was NOT open at all. It still had a lot of work to do on it. Very disappointed kids.

How cool is this place. Kids had a ball and the area was big enough with plenty of room to move. Great for a cool off after a long walk of sight seeing.

Completely fenced off and under major repair work by the looks of it. Portable toilets with long queues the day Dawn Princess was anchored off shore. I am sure it will be worth the wait but it seems it may be a only wait?

Had been planning to visit the lagoon often on our recent holiday in Airlie Beach, but when we arrived found out that it was closed, due to repairs required after Cyclone Debbie. Can fully understand that a major storm can cause a lot of damage....More
