The park isn't particularly big but the staff are very friendly and happy to stop and chat with visitors. The park is clean and tidy with plenty of room for kids to run around. We were interested in the crocs and the cruise around. It did not disappoint. Great commentary by the guide navigating the boat. He was amusing and... More

This is the second time we have visited Hartley's, both times taking visitors from overseas who were keen to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. There is so much to see including the "Feeding the Crocs' show which is fun and very interesting as you learn a lot about them. We then took a boat ride followed by a tour... More

Had a brilliant fun and informative day out. Fantastic crocodile shows and a marvellous boat trip. Great close ups of these amazing beasts. Special thanks to Lee and Jesse for their bravery in the croc show and boat trip. Also to the great guy who did the talk on snakes. The koala keeper was so lovely and obviously loves her... More

Made it to Hartley's 24 hours after arriving from the states. All the events kept us very awake. Did the Breakfast with the Koala event and the wife had her picture taken holding a Koala. She is thrilled with this place. Croc show was great. All the staff is friendly and helpful. A must stop in the Cairns area.

The boat ride with crocodile feeding is definitely the best. The crocodile attack show and snake show are also great. Kids enjoyed feeding kangaroos and wallabies. Keep in mind that the admission is actually a 3 day pass. No need to rush around.

Ver good advice there Bec. Yes you can stretch out your visit if you self drive over three days. Also if you are going to stay up in the Daintree, Cape Tribulation or Cooktown and will be returning later than that, just ask our staff to put the return date on it. More

Really good day out for all ages. Good facilities, the crocs always turn up, there is plenty of other stuff to see. They do go on a bit about not supporting culling, which is fair enough; but they farm the poor things which jars slightly.

Angela F, Director of Sales at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures, responded to this review

Dear Muncher. Yes, we don't support culling of wild crocodiles for a range of reasons one of which is that it is contrary to our Management Plan lodged with the IUCN. Yes, we farm crocodiles. They are reptiles and can lay up to 40-60 eggs in a next. Clearly, we can't have 1000+ crocodile hatchings running around the park year... More

If you want to see tons of Australian animals up close, this is the place to go. The ladies at the ticket counter were very friendly and marked the location for each planned activity. Our favorite activities were the cassowary feeding and croc feeding. All of the staff working with animals were knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions asked.... More

Lovely review Samantha. Thanks for sharing your very positive feedback and great tips with your fellow travellers. The days you visited were particularly hot, even for us locals, there has since been some rain and it has eased off. But frankly that is what you get at this time of year and when I was in Europe, it was minus... More

A MUST! We have boys 10 and 13. A couple of friends recommended Hartleys and I will admit, I wasn’t that excited to go. It was fantastic! The guides at each exhibit are really funny, and the park does a great job keeping it moving. The presentations are very informative, but are short enough that you don’t lose the attention... More

The boat trip was exciting as there were lots of live crocodiles next to the boat and the driver then fed the crocodiles, making them jump for the food. We then went to another part where there were freshwater crocodiles which they fed, again, sometimes making them jump for the food. The lagoon in which the crocodiles were was man... More
