We stayed in the cabins within the park for xmas weekend. It seems as we were the first people to use the Llaima cabin for the season. The cabin felt like it was brand new and was just the right size for 2 adults and...More

Lava fields, cloud forest, araucaria trees, waterfalls...what a wonderful place to visit! We were there only a few hours, and had to choose what to see. You could go back for many visits and be enchanted each time!

The landscapes are really beautiful, it makes you realize how small we are compared to nature. I camped there, if you take your food it won't be expensive.

We stayed in a lodge the night before about 30 minutes drive to the park entrance. The next day we began our drive which ended up taking about three hours. We purchased food in a Curacautin market to plan our picnic for lunch. The landscape,...More

Great rain forrest with huge and very old trees as well as big Lava fields. We recommend entering from the north entrance (with 4x4) and crossing the park north to south. We liked the northern part of the park more.

Accessible and easily suited to both long and short trips, this park has an almost lunar landscape with the black lava fields contrasting against the snowy peaks. The forests are ancient, the lakes are deadly still, and if you are lucky you will glimpse the...More

Don't bother... You pay an enormous amount of entrance fees if you are foreign (but no map and bad and dangerous roads) and if you plan on camping within the park... DON'T! Seriously, they asked approx 80 USD for a simple campground per night. The...More
