4 of us were looking to book a horseback riding tour to the waterfall in Limon. We went directly to their office in Las Terrenas the day before and asked to book a trip. It was easy to pick our time and location to be picked up. The kind woman in the office also spoke English which was lovely. Henry our tour guide picked us up promptly on time and gave us a great history lesson of the island on the rise to Limon. We also appreciated he spoke in Spanish and English with us so we could continue to practice our Spanish. Upon out arrival we were warmly greeted by others who informed us of the plants and lands. We were led by two wonderful gentleman on horseback to the waterfall. Definitely remember to bring good shoes for walking/climbing up and down the paths and through the river. They watched our things while we swam in the waterfall. After our trip back Ramona made the most delicious DR lunch and was able to accommodate those who didn't eat meat in our group.
My group and I can't say enough about this tour and the ease of the excursion. Not to mention how affordable the entire experience was. Thanks for the beautiful memories!

We had an incredible day exploring the Los Haitises national park with Henry! He was the perfect guide- full of knowledge and a good sense of humour. The boat was the perfect size, and Henry and the captain had a knack for navigating us out of the way of the huge tourist boats so we got lots of chances to get up close to the cave paintings ahead of the crowds. Lunch at the eco-resort in the rainforest was spectacular. Thank you for such a great day!

This was one of the best tours of my entire life! My boyfriend and I travel a lot and like to do adventurous things, so we chose the special day tour, which combines a trip to Limon waterfall, and an ATV tour around Limon where we get to drive fast through the jungle terrain, and also learn a lot about local country-side living. Our tour guide, Henri, was so full of life and happiness, and made every moment of the trip such a joy. His energy is contagious. He picked us up at our villa, and then drove us to the Limon waterfall where we got on two horses, which walked us through the crazy jungle path to the waterfall. The waterfall was completely private when we arrived. We were the only ones there. The waterfall was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with a gorgeous, pristine, greenish-blue swimming hole. Then we had lunch at a local restaurant which was an amazing, Dominican lunch made by the nicest of people. Next we drove to town where we picked up our ATVs. We drove all through the jungle, through mud, through water, up and down hills, and more! Driving was so much fun in this area. Then we met a nice family at the top of a hill where we learned all about cacao, coffee and tea that is grown locally. We also learned about country living in Limon, which was really nice and interesting. The treats were also delicious! Cacao, in its purest form! Finally, we were driven back to our home. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience today with Peninsula and with Henri, especially. Thank you!!

We went on a whale tour organized by the agency. Henry and the driver picked us up on time and Henry guided us in a very fun and professional way through the day. On the drive there and on the boat he gave us interesting and useful insights about the whales and in general about the local culture. Everything worked great and we always felt accompanied throughout the tour. We recommend them!

Henry and his team were awesome! they arrived early, loaded the van and off we went (they even turned back to get my wife's hat that was left on the reception counter)

In under 30 minutes, we arrived at the ranch ready to explore and make our trek up the mountain. We hiked up the hill on horseback for 20 minutes before we arrived at a stall for the horses. From here we went about "200.. or so steps" down to the wonderful waterfall that was hidden in the hills.

After we had our time to explore, we headed back, had a wonderful lunch (thanks Henry for the passion fruit juice) and made our way back to the hotel.

the process was easy, the communication was awesome and if were ever in the DR again, i would definitely plan with Henry and his team!

Our guide was very nice, funny and he was talking about whales short but interesting. He promised us that we will see the whales and he kept the promise. He cared about us. We were very glad, it was great trip. If you want to go to see the whales in Samana you should take Peninsula Tours. They were on time next to our hotel.

This was a wonderful tour! We were picked up at our hotel at 8am and were taken in a shuttle van to our first destination. We rode horses in the countryside of El Limón. Every one was very attentive (especially me not being the best rider). They made me feel at ease. The weather wasn’t great and rained a bit but we made the best of it. We rode the horses until we were in the middle of the jungle. There we walked a bit (make sure you take water sneakers or good hiking shoes) there were about 250 steps going down (and back up) to see the waterfall. Stunning! After we returned back to our starting point, we were met with an authentic Dominican lunch. Delish! After a nice lunch break, we were taking to our next stop. ATV’s! We rode through the neighborhood, through the woods, mudding, and stopped at two stunning beaches. This is definitely an adventurous tour but we loved every minute of it. Henry our tour guide was amazing! Definitely recommend!

Our family of five had a wonderful experience. The waterfall was amazing, the horse ride was a hit for the whole family and the guides went far above expectations.
Henry organized the trip for us, and the kids were in safe hands on the horses with the experienced guides. They even found fresh fruit for the family on the way and were very attentive to the kids.
Highly recommend and wish I had brought more cash for the tip as they went well above expectations.
Also, food was good too.

We really enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide was Henry and he was very kind. Henry was on time and was very informative about the area. I would strongly encourage the horse back riding. Walking the trail would be extremely challenging. It had rained the day before so everything was slick and muddy. The horses allowed my 76 year old Mother to visit the falls. Her guide held her hand as she made her decent on foot down to the falls. They took very good care of her. They assign one guide per horse and that person guides the horse on the entire trial to the waterfall. The only negative was we didn't realize we would have to tip so many people since there were 8 of us, and one of the guides belittled us about the tip in front of everyone. It was extremely embarrassing. It would have been helpful to know the number of guides before hand so we could have brought enough money.

We did Los Haitises, which was an unforgettable experience! Henry was very knowledgeable and punctual, a top professional! The boat ride was fun, with some choppy waves that provided an exhilarating ride across the bay. The tours through the various caves were awesome, I’m pretty sure there are few places in the world where you can get so close to original native american/taino paintings. And the lunch at the end of the tour was fantastic! Complements to the chef for a great meal of typical Dominican cuisine.
