Audrey and Paul were not only professional but very knowledgeable. Their attentiveness to details was only surpassed by their desire to establish a safe but enjoyable experience.

My partner and I signed up for a scuba dive day trip with The Dive Academy. It was AWESOME! Our first dive was at La Farola Wall and the second one at The Ferry Shipwreck. We had the pleasure to dive with Paul who is very experienced. We later had lunch at Cayo Levantado, a paradise-like tiny island. The food and the drinks (Pina Colada and Coco Loco) were delicious. I would definitely go with them again on our next visit to the Dominican Republic.

I am a NAUI certified diver for over 40 years with not many dives under my belt. I recently accompanied my 24 old son on some dives with the Dive Academy as part of his certification, I was so impressed with their operation, their equipment and their dive boat. My son is now SSI certified and hooked on the sport. I will be returning to Las Terrenas in September for a year and plan on taking the Advanced Certification course with them. The owners are one of the primary reasons. Their passion for diving shows in how they address their students. One of our trips to the little islands off Playa Ballenas had Dive Master students diving with the group. I never felt so safe in the water. The dive site was remarkable. Perfectly clear water with tons of fish and many caves, caverns and crevices to explore. They travel to many other sites that are supposed to be even better. Thanks to the owners Audrey (a French lady) and Paul ( a Brit), my son and I had really fun, healthy bonding time together. You must meet them to see that the French and the British really can get along. I highly recommend this place to beginners and rusty old divers who want to get back in the game.

If you are in La Terrenas, Dominican Republic and are even remotely interested in diving or snorkeling, you need to visit this place. From experience, our family can attest that Paul, Audrey and their staff will treat you with kid gloves. They are warm, quirky and ooze experience. You will be in very capable hands - and you progress only at your own pace and comfort level. Whether you just wish to try it or you have years of experience, there is something for everyone. Just cant say enough good things about them. Until we meet again!
