About
Kite World' is located on Punta Popi, Las Terrenas, Samana and IKO affiliated. We teach in english, french, spanish, portuguese, giving you a certification at the end. This lush tropical environment has one of the nicest windy aquamarine waters of the world. Our club offers an all-inclusive service where you can take lessons from professional instructors, surf with the newest gear and be a part of our beach club community. After a day on the water you can sip a drink in one of our two bars, eat in our restaurant, swim in a tropical pool and sleep in our beach hotel. Join us for your holiday, filled with water activities, fun and great people on one of the nicest beaches in the world!

Kiteworld are the best crew in Dominican Republic to learn how to kite and fly. Proper prices, excellent knowledge of the sport, great gear, helpful and amazing people. I rented gear for a week with special weekly pricing, was offered the kite of my choice and with daily updates from the crew on wind conditions was a breeze to know when best to enjoy the water. Las Terrenas, Portillo beach kite spot is perfect if you are new to the sport. Not overcrowded, and with ideal wind conditions and generally flat waters makes it the ideal spot to learn or enjoy if you are already on the known. If you debate between the famous Cabarete and Las Terrenas choose Kiteworld crew and their spot, you will not regret it. Hands down the best honest crew and good vibes and culture on the spot without the mayhem of crowds. Vincent who runs the show is your one stop everything, responsive and helpful, give them a call and enjoy the best kite surf experience they have to offer.

The instructors were so patient with this mom in her 50s and teenage daughter team trying the sport for the first time ever. Warm, kind people, informative and very calm when sometimes we just didn't "get it" right away. Most of all, we had fun learning, trying something new, challenging ourselves, My daughter felt a lot of pride, pushing herself out of her comfort zone. It was wonderful to observe in her. [side note, the icing on the cake for her was riding on the back of the motorcycles the first day from the check-in spot to the beach... she's now intrigued by motorcycles, particularly Ducati!]

Great spot configuration.
Very good atmosphere.
It allowed me to consolidate my recent autonomy.
My 11 year old son was also able to do some lessons and was very happy.
It's important to book in advance because Vincent has a lot of demand on the spot and doesn't always have availability if you don't book.
A drawback with the coral reef which flushes the water as soon as you move away a little (I brought back some memories on my thighs).
The wind rises between 11am and 1pm, which leaves time for morning excursions and to enjoy the area which is absolutely fantastic.
I highly recommend Vincent!

I had a great experience with Kiteworld in Las Terrenas. I scheduled two days of beginner lessons and my instructors Ewan and Yencito were extremely professional. All steps on how to kite surf were presented clearly and with a great deal of enthusiasm. I felt safe and certainly well trained to execute the beginner exercises I was asked to perform.
The beach in Las Terrenas where the instruction takes place is a spectacular location. Interaction with other kite surfers at the beach is positive part of the experience.
I highly recommend Kiteworld for all levels of kite surfers

I've had a blast with the Kiteworld Team, they are very friendly and helped us plan an amazing trip (from airport taxi, scooter rentals to the best restaurant and things to do in Las Terrenas). They are all extraordinary kite surfers and they managed to get me on a board and stay upwind after a couple of hours. I enjoyed it so much that I'm already planning to go back again.

Kiteworld has commandeered the beach at La Portillo. They think it’s theirs and have absolutely no concern for other beach goers, especially small children. Their students’ kites often crash within inches of small children playing on the beach. No apologies and certainly no changes made on their part to ensure the safety of the children. Shameful and despicable.

Las Terrenas is a top of the top spots in the world and I'm telling that throughout 16 years of kitesurfing. Flat water, consistent wind and breathtaking sceneries. Vincent is a super friendly, professional teacher! Apart from kitesurfing together, he showd us surroundings, local restaurants and all the places worth visiting. I can truly recommend Vincent and his shool Kiteworld!🤙
P.S. If you consider Cabarete or Las Terrenas I would say 100% for Las Terrenas!

Great experience for our family. We (my wife and I and our 2 daughters who are 18 and 20 yrs. old) had never been to DR but Vincent was not only responsive but knowledgeable and helped us to choose where to stay, what to do and even how to exchange money. He was generous with his time and very, very helpful. We got six days of kitesurfing in, and our instructors, Jensito, Chelo, Miguel, Jose and Fritz were awesome. We were all able to learn in a few afternoons. Even with a bit of a language barrier (their Spanish and our English) we were able to feel safe, learn and have a lot of fun. Best family vacation we've had. Thank you Vincent and the team!

program. Our guide Fritz was super helpful and funny. With a mix of English and French there was no language barrier. If you want to get a little more training, I’d suggest you take the single option instead of the group.
The equipment was in good shape and fit all sizes (S & XL).
One thing we had to learn though, is that winds are sometimes unpredictable and doesn’t always go along with your training hours. But you can’t blame that on Kiteworld :).

Great team of passionate kite surfers led by Vincent. They speak all the languages and give you all the attention and skills you need to get on your feet quickly.

In winter the best months are February, March and April. Summer time has the best wind statistics almost every day in June, July and August.

Hi, I'm a total beginner, so I'll need to take the 3 days of 2 hours. Is it good weather conditions for begginers in the next few days? Should I make a reservation in advance or is it ok just at the day I arrive to Las Terrenas? Do you take credit cards?
