Possibly one of the more popular beaches. Small, set up with loungers; a beach restaurant and cocktail bar on the beach. Many expats and long term holidaymakers gather on this well kept beach.

Walk to the point just beyond the Welcome to Las Terrenas sign and the area is wide, you can get lawn chairs for a few dollars each and drinks brought right to you until you say Stop! Good place to spend an afternoon.

Gentle waves, wide beach and lots of shade. Can rent chaises and plenty of choices for food and beverages from the locals.

This beach lacks some of the infrastructure and services of others in the area but nevertheless is spotless and well cared for. Locals will help you get settled if you want or leave you in peace. Take a cool box of supplies for a dessert...More

what an amazing beach, we really did enjoy it. you have to travel into the actual area to reach the best spot. There are ppl offering food and snacks on the beach. make sure to take chairs or towels to lay in.

Playa Punta Popy was not very crowded when we visited. Plenty of room for everyone. There are some trees if you want shade. The beach was very good for swimming. Snorkeling was just ok; some fish but not a whole lot to see.

I visited here in July 2017 and now in Nov 2017. While there has been beach erosion, the beach is still beautiful - clear, aquamarine waters and sandy bottom. Unfortunately some of the beach rest/bars are no longer.....Maria les llevo !!

Gorgeous beach and area. It's easy to find some shade here if you prefer. There are people around to "assist" you if you want to rent a beach chair or get a drink, but we just told the one guy who approached us no thank...More
