For a couple of hours walk. With a dozen of souvenirs shops which close by 7:30 pm. Nice amount of decent restaurants and bars to enjoy the beginning of the night. The beach line is at the reach of the hand. Good for sunsets.

This collection of cute little beachfront restaurants offers a large variety of dining choices. Prices are reasonable (average entree is approximately RD$450) and the beachside setting provides an outstanding view. Some of the restaurants are open for dinner only, but when I was there today six were serving lunch, so still more than enough choice really.

Wandering up and down pueblo de los pescadores one evening with friends during our trip to Las Terrenas. Great bars and restaurants and overall fun atmosphere. Many options from international fare to more traditional options.

If you are looking for colour but need the safety of the masses, this is the place. Many really good restaurants in a lovely but fictional setting. Something closer to what the original looked like, with shacks competing in serving seafood on the beach (and sometimes in questionable hygiene) can now be found growing across the river, behind the cemetery
