Playa Bonita is my favorite beach in all of Las Terrenas. The cove to the end is a perfect, relaxing spot, but if you walk the other way to the point and beyond it is absolutely breathtaking!

We spent several afternoons on this beach. The waves are fantastic for beginning and intermediate surfing and hours of body surfing. Even on days of giant waves, the undertow never felt dangerous. Food and drinks are available within a very short walk. Board rentals available...More

It might be pretty, but it isn't worth spending the day as there's not really any place to lie down comfortably. The beach is very narrow, the only place that seemed nice was at the hotel Atlantis, on their long chairs.

Hello: I would say you could have a decent meal from RD$500 to RD$800 per person = US$10 to $15 in any of the restaurants around. Regards, Carlos
Is there good snorkeling at Playa Bonita? Myself and 2 others are staying at Viva Wyndham V Samana and wouldn't be opposed to walking the beach to Bonita if there is decent snorkelling.. Thanks!

nope, typically good for surfing but too many waves keep water agitated. a section of the beach (near the point) has no waves, but also nothing underwater worth looking at. I suspect getting closer to the 2 little islands... More
