It is a very nice place to visit with the kids . You will see nice dolphins and turtles and a little bit of the history of them in the area around .

It’s a interesting museum to visit. It’s not THAT big as others oceanographic museums but it has some specimens of the region.

With adult friends we enjoyed the museum that leads you in a one-way direction through a nicely presented ( only in portuguese) world of historical things, diving equipment, sealife in aquariums and in liquid and stuffed high and low. Interesting sceletons of animals. I liked it a lot!…

Museum is well built , but its collection is still not great. When I visited some items didn´t have information. The museum is maintained by the Unoversidade do Vale do Itajaí and has some rare and curious items . It´s a beautiful visit for sure.

The largest Oceanographic Museum in Latin America, located in Piçarras-SC. particularly the Calypso, the ship of Jacques Cousteau, who was a Minesweeper on 2nd World War.
