It was very busy when we were there in the late afternoon but we still found space to park in the free car park. A nice little town to wander through and sample the cafes and shops. The museum (free) was also very interesting and...More

What a stunning place, full of character and charm. And that go's for the folk who live and work there too. So peaceful, the buildings were a joy. And to wonder around in and out the shops "it was magic" Down by the river where...More

Found town very pretty to visit. Main shops mainly boutiques so found it quiet expensive. Didn't find much to do when arrived mid afternoon. Safe place to stop and have a break. Great lolly shop there for lolly lovers.

We enjoyed our stroll around Arrowtown, the buildings have been well looked after and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to while away some time whilst observing all the other tourists. We found the nearby Chinese Settlement very interesting.

Lots of charm and character and the walk along the river is beautiful. If you can manage it, there is a lookout you can walk to but this is not for the faint of heart, it was STEEP STEEP STEEP and uneven but the view...More

The buildings on the main road in Arrowtown are mostly historical buildings, including the museum and the post shop. The walk down the street is quite interesting with the old facades being the main sights and then the newer ones hidden behind, accesses from alleyways....More

The main street with buildings reminiscent of the gold mining era makes this a truly beautiful village. Be sure sure to visit the Chinese settlement and take a walk along the river. Arrowtown is definitely worth a side trip when visiting Queenstown.

Very pretty place, very adequate parking down along the creek. Nice for a casual stroll down the street, but the shopping is very boutique and aimed at the more cashed up shoppers.

We recently visited Queenstown and took the local bus to Arrowtown to have a look around. Such a pretty preserved old mining town. And you must walk down to the rivers edge, it's lovely.

There are 2 routes by Connectabus which departs from O'Connell's Shopping Centre. Both take around 30-35 minutes. 1 of them goes directly to Arrowtown while the other interchanges at Frankton hub.
