When guests come to Jericoacoara with Fortaleza Beaches we recommend that they visit Tatajuba and Lagoa Azul. Don't miss the incredible views in the National Park surrounding Jericoacoara !

We spent a wonderful afternoon visiting the Lagoa Azul and the Lagoa do Paraiso as well. Lovely inland lakes, warm water, beautiful sights, nice sand and great restaurants & bars. You get to relax in a hammock in the water or you can have your meal with your table in the water. Really really nice & relaxed. Wonderful. I cannot recommend this enough. Make sure you do this during your trip!!! We loved it - my partner didn't want to leave - she wanted to stay in Jericoacoara for ever!

while Lagoa Paraiso is absolutely worth visiting, i do not see any reason to pay the price of R$40 (in low season) to R$55 (in high season) per person to go to the lagoons, while you can go there by public truck for R$20 per person (both ways). sure enough, going by buggy you also see the Lazy Tree which you don't see otherwise. also by buggy you will pass by Lagoa Azul, but in my personal opinion that one is not really worth visiting - it is small, has only one establishment and besides you pay R$5 per person for the boat to cross over.

One advice: if you are not too tight with money, don't share the excursion with others, so that you can keep your independency and basically do what you want when you want ...

Both lagoas are wonderful. Lagoa Azul is more crowded. You can enjoy a drink while rocking in a hammock inside the water. The bar is a bit too touristy but if you look away from it you will feel in paradise.
