We were met by one of the family of the owners. We appreciated a lot her kindness and her explanation about the production of her ecological wine. Execelent quality and very special wine. We highly recommend the visit.

Very small family run winery offering fantastic high quality wines in a friendly tasting atmosphere. 40,000 bottles produced annually. Reminded me of many California wineries in the late 70's/early 80's. The 2015 Veronica Salgado Tinto Roble was one of our favorites during our 10 day Spanish wine journey.

We stopped by to visit this winery and very much enjoyed the tour and wine with one of the owners. This is a great valued wine in a small production. A true must see for any wine enthusiast. Best to schedule a tour and if you would like an English speaking guide, ask for Veronica. Thanks. Dave and Robin

The owner took us around the winery, explaining the various stages of the winemaking process, and finishing with a tasting of two of their three red wines (the third is made in very small quantities). This was a very friendly and relaxed tour, but at the same time, was very informative and interesting. The two wines (both red) were quite different; the first was a young and bursting with fruit, and I think would be a great aperitif. The second was a crianza and was a full-bodied, tannic wine, which, although ready to be drunk immediately, could be kept for another ten years. We bought some of both.

This is a small family owned bodega, and we were given a short tour by Victoria, who is also the winemaker. The family had been making wine for generations, but Victoria went to a large bodega to hone her winemaking skills, and the quality of her wine was very good. It is about to be certified as an organic only bodega. We tasted a few of her wines, and bought a couple of bottles for our next stopover. Production is not large; I believe 25,000 bottles per year if my memory is correct. But very good. This is in the Duero River region, many bodegas in the area, plus we also toured Penafiel Castle in the town.
