Nyinkka Nyunyu is an authentic Aboriginal Art & Culture Centre, which celebrates both the history and the living culture of the proud Warumungu people, traditional owners of Tennant Creek. It is also a fine museum and the regional art gallery for the surrounding Barkly Region. The staff are friendly, traditional Warumungu people who offer a genuine Aboriginal experience. Take the audio tour to hear the stories of this amazing landscape! Open 7 days per week.

This has to be one of the best displays of cultural and natural information (including bush tucker) around, together with the horrible realities of what happened when whitefellas invaded.More

We enjoyed the audio tour of the centre and gardens but were a little disappointed. The technology used is past its use by date and one of the exhibits was asking for a computer re-boot. The attendant apologized that we would probably run out of...More
