Wow! Our family of four (teenagers aged 13 & 17) really enjoyed this tour. Pickup from our resort (sails) in Yulara at the crack of dawn, we got a very basic breakfast (selection of plain croissants or muffins) with coffee. And after a quick demo and trial on the Segways, we headed off with our guide (in a group of about 10) around the entire base of Uluru. We made a few stops at different points of interest for our guide to give us tidbits of historical info and/or stories. Heading off so early meant we were finished just as it was starting to heat up which was good! Thoroughly recommend getting a fly net, the plentiful flies are very annoying and distracting otherwise. This trip around the base of Uluru was a once in a life time journey. Bree our tour guide was brilliant. We started with a sunrise breakfast and a lesson on how to ride then off we went. the information and stories we learnt should be taught in our schools. we got a totally new perspective on our nations 1st people.
