Relaxing

This is a great place to go and just reflect, providing there are not too many people there. We found it too busy on a Sunday.

Stay at the boab caravan park and take an easy walk to the hot springs. Warm crystal clear water, less built up than mataranka. Go in the morning and you'll have the place to yourself. Late in the day you can share with the local aboriginal kids when they finish school.

The pools were very muddy and busy with kids from the area. The police had just left so I assume there can be some troubles there. I didn't want to get in and left as I couldn't leave my bag unattended! There was just from the excavation up the hill.. not worth the trouble so disappointed when we saw it... More

The springs are awesome, clear warm water, gently flowing. A hint: The floor of the creek is a little rocky, wear reef shoes .

Amazing how many attractions in Katherine are for free, like the hotsprings. The water is warm and the currents are gentle. Many families and students come here for a dip. The water is a bit murky and soil and weeds get in your swimwear. It is relaxing to waddle in the water with the shade of trees around you.

The hot springs are accessed from a carpark at the top of the river bank or from a path off the road as it heads down towards the river crossing. There are several pools along the spring as it flows towards the river, some deeper and wide, and some narrow like a creek. The setting is quite beautiful and relaxing,... More

well worth a dip in the waters to refresh after a long drive or touring about town or the territory! Check it out as its very close to the centre of town if you have a car!

Unfurtunatly it was closed when we got there. Highly dissapointing. Should be easier to find out if it's open or not. Searched online and according to websites it was supposed to be open.

Good place to relax and have a swim. Great place to have a picnic with the family or just chill out.
