If tou happen to be on the Stuart Highway then do find an extra hour in your day to visit. Here you can walk to the wonderful lake for refrehsing swim or take a longer walk to the upper lake and waterfall. There is ample parking and a lovely cafe. It's a great spot to visit and very peaceful.

The water was so warm here! Beautiful location and can swim right up to the waterfall. The fish aren't afraid to come up and nibble your feet either!

Edith falls is a short drive from Katherine and has very good access. The lower pool is an easy walk from the carpark and access is free. Lots of grassy areas for picnics. We didn't go to the upper pools as the temperature during our visit was getting too extreme and didn't want to risk heat exhaustion...but this time of... More

Great afternoons walk and swim. Can be squeezed into an evening to watch the sunset if you have a torch and are happy driving the 45 mins back to Katherine at night. For most abilities. Has a couple of rocky ups and downs that need some careful footing. Beautiful views of the surrounding area and of the falls and rock... More

This is a great spot for a dip in the heat of the NT weather, it is beautiful country and has some reasonable walks in the Nitmiluk National Park

We enjoyed Edith Falls but we're so glad we kept walking up to Sweetwater. It was very hot, we hardly saw anyone on the way so you'd want to be prepared - water, long sleeves, food etc. When we got to the top we had it to ourselves. Lovely day. And on return to the campground had a tasty toastie... More

A chance to slip into fresh water was most welcome in the hot and humid climate. I was glad I was informed about the fact that tiny fish would b giving me a free pedicure so I was prepared for the gentle nibbling. The water was too warm for serious swimming, but wonderful for cooling of, with spectacular views all... More

The largest pool to walk to is large but probably has more people at it. So do the 2km round trip to the upper pools, you can walk in thongs but I would recommend shoes (your feet will dry off quickly after your swim). The slightly larger of the 2 upper pools is warmer because the water flow is slower,... More

We enjoyed Edith Falls on a very hot 40 degree day so take your swimmers! The water was cool and delicious and the falls very picturesque, the walk was relatively easy though we did not take on the more adventurous walk to the top. There is something very special about swimming in a natural environment so allow time to really... More

The Edith Falls are located in a very pleasant park area. but the Edith falls are not the Niagara Falls ! However, the Falls,Lake and Stream are surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, a photographers delight. For keen walkers, a good track leads up to the higher Fall area and a good view over the park. The park ares has also good... More
