When we visited the region was still rather dry, however the fall was still running. We had brought a noodle which was needed for little non-swimmers. Temperature was just cool enough to be refreshing and there were a couple of entries designed for different abilities. A wonderful sight to behold, and a little cafe for refreshments and light meals.

Great place to cool down. The waterfall is a 20 minute walk up a hill. The water is cold but you will need this after the hike up. The views are amazing and plenty of places to relax by the water.

Edith Falls looked beautiful.... it was such a shame that we were desperately time poor and couldn't do a liitle more venturing about.

Family walked the upper track loop which is around 2.5 km from memory. The water fall and rock pools were the perfect spot to cool down once you reached the top of falls. If you enjoy walks this a great one, that's not too stressful on the kids.

From Darwin to Katherine we decided to take a bit of a detour to visit Edith Falls as we had heard it was worth the detour. It was excellent, good little hike up to the upper pools, nice place to swim and they have food available for sale there too so you can treat yourself to ice cream once you... More

Well actually a lot. Edith Falls are well worth the diversion from the Stuart Highway, once it has been given the all clear for being clear of crocs at the start of the dry season. It is spectacular place to swim in for their are several falls cascading from above and you can swim into the spray, the water depth... More

Looked like a great spot to stay for a few nights but we just enjoyed a swim and taking in the scenery.
