We camped at the campgrounds and then did the walk out to the falls. Really really lovely and we had a great time swimming. The walk was about 3.5k's but well worth it and you get to cool down in the water. The walk back...More

Visited in the wet season which made the relatively easy walk a bit harder because of the heat. This was all rewarded as we reached the waterfall and had a refreshing swim. Not many visitors that time of year, so we had the pool to...More

Well worth the hike in the sun! The waterfall is really refreshing. We took a swim and there were so many other people enjoying it. So bring swim suit, plenty of water and some snacks as you might spend some time at the falls.

There’s little shade on this walk so best to be prepared. While an easy walk, the last part has a few large boulders to clamber over. We took children between 2 - 5 years and it was manageable, but many had to be carried back...More

this was my favourite place but i don't want it to be ruined by loads of tourists so i will just say it is a hot and boring walk in but amazing waterhole and rainforest pocket once you get there

We were brought here by our guide to cool off. You can swim although there are warnings at all these waterfalls about crocodiles. It had been raining hard for several days previously and our guide said he'd never seen the falls so strong. However it...More

The cool water with sunlight on it glows an eerie green. Great swimming hole and well worth the effort of walking in there. Named after some fool with no imagination who once drove a motor car there. Can't do that now !

It's a bit of a way getting to the falls but mostly on a flat dirt road until a short scramble over risks at the end. The falls are worth it though - great view and relaxing, closed in location with a large pool to...More

We visited Motorcar Falls on a very hot day, with high humidity and a temperature around 38 C. A bit over an hour's walk on a mostly well made track and arrived at this amazingly cool pool surrounded by cliffs. The pool is about 35m...More
