Not for the faint hearted, this was a walk through long grass and creeks. We really had no idea where we were going particularly when faced with a creek up to our knees within the first 5 minutes . Definitely the most beautiful billabong and sooooo worth the trek. Take loads of water and a few snacks and enjoy the tranquility. We loved it!

Fairly easy 4km hike past Boulder Creek and into the falls. Really nice plunge pool at the end to cool off it. Nice and clean even when the fall isn’t running that much. Worth going via the lookout either on the way in or out. definitely add it to the trip if you’re heading to Gunlom falls.

Easy 3km hike to waterhole, but tricky getting over the boulders. Beautiful water temperature to swim in.

We camped at the campgrounds and then did the walk out to the falls. Really really lovely and we had a great time swimming. The walk was about 3.5k's but well worth it and you get to cool down in the water. The walk back is pleasant after a swim. We were really impressed with the campgrounds too - very clean and $6 per person was a good deal with $15 for a family

Visited in the wet season which made the relatively easy walk a bit harder because of the heat. This was all rewarded as we reached the waterfall and had a refreshing swim. Not many visitors that time of year, so we had the pool to ourselves for a short while. There current in the pool was fairly strong, and approaching the waterfall is not recomended in the wet season.
