In ancient Greece the Sileni were companions of Dionysus, the god of wine, vineyards and theatre. When there was something to be celebrated, the Sileni were always on hand to encourage enjoyment of delicious food, great wine and social interaction. Named in their honour, Sileni Estates produces a range of wines from Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough, made to be great collaborators with a talent for enhancing flavours and textures.

Sileni Estates Cellar Door is the complete food and wine destination. Enjoy artisan chocolates, local food products and local and international cheese from the climate controlled cheese larder, unique giftware completes the experience. The Cellar Door also offers a full range of internationally acclaimed, award-winning wines including the very best Hawke's Bay Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah, plus the popular Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Learn about the art of winemaking by booking a winery or vineyard tour.

Voted one of the best food and wine destinations in the country the Sileni winery offers stunning architecture and iconic vineyard views all year round, right in the heart of the Bridge Pa Wine district. The perfect venue for a winery wedding, conference or private event.

My wife insisted we go here. I was hesitant because it was annoyingly far from Napier. But as we entered the long driveway, I had this urge to give it to my 1 litre engine hire car and try and reach its top speed of 80km/h. At first I did, but as the revo-o-metre hit the red line, my wife... More

Stopped in to taste wines on a weekday. Sileni has a good range of wines to try. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They not only know the finer points of their own wines, they also gave us advice on places to eat and other wineries that are high points of the region. Recommended.

We called in to say Hi to our favourite Winery as we couldn't let a visit to Napier pass without "popping in". I was given a taste of a new wine "Cut Cane" which is a lovely red and dare I say it, better than their Pinot Noir?

We popped in here to get some wine which we had purchased last time we were in Napier & Hastings. It is called The Pacemaker & it is a Cabernet/Franc blend & it is really lovely. We also purchased some lovely dessert wine to bring home to put into the cellar. They have a wonderful shop filled with lots of... More

A great place. Anne and her team were so friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. They brightened up a rather cold damp afternoon. The wine was also very good😃

Staff very accommodating, went out of their way to ask us about our day and suggested other vineyards we could attend when we said we were in the Hawkes Bay to visit a few. The cellar door shop is just amazing, as well as the wine there are many other gifts, food items and knick knacks. Not many places you... More

Me and my friend came here for wine tasting and really enjoyed our time learning about their wines. Friendly staff helped us pick our wines! Love their cheese and chocolates too. And a big thank you goes to them for hosting us during the Air NZ Hawkes Bay running event! Would love to go back soon!

We visited Sileni on a freezing cold day, finding the warmth inside wonderful. The cooler room with the cheeses was amazing. I also bought a bottle of butterscotch sauce which I Had no problems with customs getting back to Oz, very nice. The stone wall of the restaurant is very pretty and I'd like to return on a warmer day... More

Some real characters work at this cellar door, which makes for a very pleasant and non-pretentious tasting. The wines are OK, but for us, it was the warm welcome and friendly nature of the staff that were the highlights.
