We were in Hawkes Bay on a wine trip and it was nice to take a break and check out the amazing view from the top of the Peak as well as see the multitude of gliders taking off for some adrenal fun

The drive up (& down!) was treacherous, but definitely worth it. Make sure you take your cameras! The view is awesome!

Went there during summer and autumn. You can see the the change of the scenery from greenish to yellowish. Remember to bring a jacket with you. Quite windy when up there. Careful when driving up.

You can drive right to the top if you like, plenty of car parking at the top. The road to the top is quite narrow and windy however, so take care. However if you do wish you can walk to the top. Wouldn't take long for... More
