Very worthwhile visiting this amazing sanctuary that has brought so much beautiful birdsong to the region. Also great to enter the visitor centre and see the models of the area and hear different native bird calls

With walks to suit all fitness levels, the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary is close to Nelson City and a good day trip option. THe visitor centre has interesing information and friendly volunteers.
