The "ferry" is actually a small motorboat run by a private operator, but DON'T let that put you off! You get a fantastic 8-minute ride out to the lighthouse and to Haulashore Island — two attractions that anybody visiting Nelson would be a fool to...More

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon paddling to the old lighthouse and to the islands. Good quality sit on top kayaks that were very easy to paddle. Climbing the lighthouse was an interesting diversion. I would highly recommend renting kayaks from here.

Enjoyed seeing Nelson from a different view. The owner is helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Interesting to see the boulder bank up close and you can visit the lighthouse for great views. Bird life plentiful and a couple of seals.
