You can see the waterfall from the road. Then there is a short, steep climb. The waterfall is very impressive, the air is full of spray and the thunder when the water rushes into the pool after more than 50 meters is simply overwhelming.
Unfortunately we couldn't go behind the waterfall because the sandy path was very loose. But we went up to the upper waterfall (about another 5 minutes).
A worthwhile trip. You can then continue along the road to the far end, from where you can take beautiful hikes to the north side of the Triklav massif. In the hut at the back you can have a good coffee or a snack and enjoy the great panoramic view.

Was a nice walk up to the waterfall and the fall itself was pretty. It's within the national park, so had to pay an entrance fee to get in. There was a small cafe at the bottom, which was nice. They are doing some construction around the park, so it was very loud hearing all of the machines. Not terrible, just a heads up.

this is the Seljalandsfoss of Slovenia.
very different from Slap Kozjak, but as amazing an experience.
you need to come prepared with a plastic bag and cloth to protect your camera. it will get wet even though you are still at a safe distance from the fall.

We saw several waterfalls on our trip to Slovenia, but these were spectacular. Possibility to see 2 waterfalls at different heights and also going behind them. In the main waterfall if you go in the morning you see the rainbow. Recommendation trecking shoes. It gets a little wet. They deserve so much. Parking with very few paid spaces 5 euros for 2 euros. We parked for free, with a 45-minute walk in the woods. The falls are free. They deserve so much

Stunning waterfall. Was great fun to walk behind it and it wasn't too crowded when I went at 8am. I exercise regularly but did still have to take two breathers on the hike up (though I hadn't eaten and was very sore from the hike the day before...those are my excuses!). Quite high up without rails at parts, if that's something that bothers you.

Beautiful waterfall in a beautiful setting! From the parking lot you are with a short climb up after 10-15 minutes at the waterfall. You can also walk behind it. With a reasonable condition, this is all passable. With a possibly less condition you can take a shorter route to a plateau where you can also see the waterfall. After a total of 45-60 minutes you have seen everything again, but as a stopover this place is definitely worth it!

Photos don’t do this place justice. The waterfall is massive and it’s incredible being able to walk behind it. The walk isn’t too difficult - we did the circular route up to the waterfall, behind it and back down the other side. The autumnal colours made it even better!

Beautiful waterfall! Highly recommended! You can park your car close by for 5euro for two hours. The hiking trail up is safe (or at least compared to other waterfalls in Slovenia). We did this with two children aged 13 and 10. With younger children, I wouldn't do this myself, but it's possible. You can walk behind the waterfall, there you have a beautiful view.

Beautiful experience, waterfall easy to reach but very profitable. It was nice to get to the high waterfall and not stop at the low one, still beautiful, and walk behind the rushing water. Absolutely not to be missed

Nice place near the mountain hut "Koca pri Pericniku". The waterfall has best photo conditions befor noon. Later is shadow. It's also a place with small parkig.

We have a 7 month old baby and would like to visit this waterfall. Is this waterfall accessible with a baby in a baby carrier? Or is the path too slippery and too rocky?

Is it good to go in february? With kids aged 6 and 8?
Written January 27, 2019
Yeah, it depends on the amount of the snow. You can drive to the parking place and see if the path is walkable or not. If not, you can enjoy the view from the parking place. However, be very careful if you go up there.
