It's an easy level walk of about 500 metres in from the car park and the same distance back. In mid September it was best to arrive at the rocks by 4,30 latest in order to get some excellent lighting on the rocks for great photography. The bush was in perfect condition in September 2016 and there were many colourful... More

Yeah these are probably worth the visit. About 35 Kms out of Narrabri. The signs say about an hours return walk. It's not that long, even with a further exploration of the creek below. The formation is a little different. Quite interesting really. Not really a lot to say about them.

This was on my want to see list, and I actually got to see it almost by accident. The road we had taken had a Mt Kaputar National Park sign, and I realised we were almost here! So I got to go look. A very easy walk from the carpark to the sawn rocks, with gorgeous native plants on either... More

This was well worth the detour off the highway. Did take a bit longer to drive out there then some of the others mentioned. Amazing rock feature.

It took 45 drive return from town. It took 15 minutes to walk fast from car park to the Rock and another 15 to return to car park.

This colourful place is only a few metres off the highway with good parking and picnic facilities. The short walk to the viewing platform is hard surfaced and suitable for wheelchairs. This view is colourful and stunning.

Amazing unique landscape, well worth a visit. Easy access to the lookout opposite the rocks, and steps down to the creek bed which is great for the kids to go scrambling around in.

It was well worth the 35 klm drive and a short walk to see this amazing rock formation. A nice parking/picnic area was also there.

Worth taking a drove then a stroll down to the lookout point then the stairs to the creek bed. Colours and formations are worth a picture or two or three. Great picnic area and toilet.

A very interesting geological site to visit. Have not seen anything quite like this before. The sawn rocks are 750m down a paved path from the car park so easy access for all ages. Not too far drive from Narrabi township - though you have to drive there deliberately as it is not on the road to somewhere else. Great... More
