Amazing history and some good hands on activities for tweens, some rooms pretty bare, but understand this is for restoration.

Greeted by a very friendly lady who spent some time providing a lot of interesting background information before we set off on our free flow tour. The house is small so it doesn't take long to explore but is still very interesting and it is...More

An interesting little place, a short walk from the Pier Hotel. Worth a visit to give you more information about life in Kaikoura and the early families who settled here. It's $10 entry fee for an adult.

Well worth the stop and an hour of your time if you are interested in the history of the house and of Kaikoura. The museum is well documented with interesting information. Congratulations to the volunteers who run this place.

The house does have some interesting aspects but the staff member that took our money was rude. Unfortunately, this left a bad taste in our month for the home tour.

Worth the drive out to view the coast from this point. Large area of rock recently forced above sea level often has seals basking and interesting rock pools. Fyffe House is open for limited hours but still worth driving to.
