We enjoyed walking around the lavender gardens in full flower. We did think the whole place has great potential but appeared rundown. Worth a visit if you like lavender. Lots of other things to see including lambs.chickens and fruit trees.

The team here at Lavendyl appreciate your review. We bought Lavendyl in August 2015 and agree that it needs work in places. We are steadily working our way through an improvement plan with the aim of returning the gardens to their award winning status. More

I stayed at Lavendyl for two nights with my wife and we both loved it. The farm is beautiful and we spent hours wandering in the garden, watching the animals, enjoying a tea and globally relaxing in this quiet place. The owner and her family were incredibly nice and welcoming. We felt at home straight away. The accommodation and the... More

Lavender in full bloom. Stunning. Easy to locate. Staff friendly. Would have loved to have seen more displayed information about the oil extraction process.

For 2 NZD for adults and free for kids, great garden with amazing colors and smells, great picture taking and a nice little store to buy lavender based products too. Strongly recommended on the way to the seal colonies.

Visited earlier this morning, and its well worth the NZ$2 that they charge. Apart from various types of lavenders, there are also other herbs such as rosemary and thyme. Very well worth a visit if you love the scent of lavender.

The team here at Lavendyl appreciate your review. We already use the fruit we grow here to produce products to sell in the shop. For this season we plan to introduce a range of products using the herbs we grow. More

We stayed at one of the cottages here and had a great time. The host(s) were very friendly (Alistair I believe his name was). The lavender gardens are some of the nicest we've seen before. This place is in a great location (Kaikoura), close to Marlborough. And a stones through to the seal colonies.

The lavender farm is set on 5 acres of land. It's well organized and the fields are very well maintained. Great for photos opportunities as the farm is set against the mountains. We enjoyed our walk around the farm and bought some lavender products from the shop. Entrance fee is a reasonable NZD2 per person. A good place to spend... More

We read a lot about this farm on tripadvisor and we were really looking forward to this stay after seeing all the pictures. Unfortunately not all the flowers were in full bloom but we definitely saw some lavenders in purple and white. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed walking around the farm in addition to feeding the lambs.... More

The team here at Lavendyl appreciate your review. We have worked out a way of fly screening the windows so hopefully flies will not trouble guests this summer. I'm glad your mum managed to get a cutting to survive. More
