Fun for the family, a lovely walk in NZ bush with fantastic views at the end. The track has been upgraded to a very high standard and you don't need boots even after ran. Good interpretive signs about the volcanic history.

The walk took us about an hour and a half in total through the bush on a well developed track with many stairs. The climb was well worth the effort with beautiful views of the Whangarei heads from the top.
