Thanks for visiting! Sorry to hear Ben the kiwi wasn't very sociable that day but so pleased to hear about your museum and heritage park exploration. If you return the clubs run the trains on the third Sunday of the month.

Very lucky to find the kiwi in the darkness. Kids enjoyed one hour there. The museum upstairs is a good place for children’s as well.

I'm guessing "The Duck House" wouldn't get as many tourists but it'd be more accurate. Suggestion do like the Glow Worm caves and slowly adjust our eyes to the dark room where the kiwis are during the day? Don't get me wrong if you're into...More

Probably the only place most people get the chance to see Kiwi in their own environment. Wonderful set up and staff are very informative. Well worth a visit.
