We were driving from Auckland to Bay of Islands and this was a good place to stop off and stretch your legs. Good spot for a picnic but no where there to get food. There is a clear circuit all round the waterfall where you can view it from different levels. Not worth going out of your way though.

Had a pleasant time going down to the falls. Lovely trees and plants to see on the way down. The water was a little dirty which is a shame.

Driving through he city we say he sign for the falls so we stopped to have a look. It is free admission which was a plus. The falls were okay snd the park around them was relaxing.

These waterfalls were great and only a few minutes from town and you can reach it by car and no walking. Great platforms and paths.

The falls were flowing quite vigorously. We took the trail, which was mostly steps, to the bottom. The sound and fresh air was quite invigorating. Climbing back up the stairs was a bit taxing but good exercise. Definitely worth a visit.

There was plenty of water falling after heavy overnight rain which made the falls impressive. The car park is very convenient and toilets are good. If you have time the trails into the woods and Kauri trees are worth a good walk.

The waterfalls were nice, but the walk along the river bank to the stunning AH Reed Kauri Park was even better.

Wow! I didn't expect this. If you're driving passed here, you must have a look at the Whangarei waterfalls. There is a short walk you can complete in less than half an hour too. Apparently you can walk all the way to Whangarei too!? It is easy to access, literally the waterfalls are right next to the car park. I... More
