Definitely worth stopping in Whangarei to stretch your legs here. My kids loved the walk down and standing in the spray from the falls.

Have been here a few times now and will still go back, a hidden treasure, so beautiful and tranquil and easy to gey to. Clean, peaceful place to visit. Its not often you find a waterfall in a town.

Really easy and quick walk to see the Whangarie waterfall. It's not really amazing but great if you just want a break from driving

Easy place to spend an hour or so right near town currently under renovation extremely popular with locals and tourists. Great place for a picnic coffee truck in the car park. Great view on the right hand side of the waterfall.

All waterfalls are lovely, this one is no exception. A short drive out of town and an easy walk around.

Plenty of shade in the summer time, open park area at the top for picnics, keep an eye on the kids but you don't need to be constantly on edge.

We walked from Mair Park. Took about an hour. Well worth the effort with the river, mosses, Stones. The Whangarei Falls were magnificent so week took some time at the base to enjoy the energy

Should visit if you're in Whangarei. If you're up and early, carry your picnic and enjoy a day at the falls.

Sorry, I don't know. Best to Google it, or ask the Whangarei I-site for info online. Good luck :)
