The Town Basin is nice for a little stroll or a coffee. There are so many great little cafes and shops to pop into. You can really really and just enjoy here.

OK, perhaps we are too old to admit I do this, but I do and it is kind of fun. I use it to find fun places to explore. Went with a friend and we enjoyed the evening walking around and doing a little shopping.

We did not walk all the Basin due to the capabilities of our group, however what we did was good. We relaxed and had a picnic lunch at one of the barbecue tables, walked the shops, admired the gardens, watched the children in the play...More

Just a short walk from our hotel, we found this amazing place and choices of cafes and galleries. Some galleries had working studios and the gardens and sculptures were very interesting. Certainly recommend this to any art lover and foodie.

The 'board walk' has been tastefully designed with shops and cafes, there is also seating and landscaping along the rivers edge. You can have a coffee or a meal and watch the people or boats pass by. Great place to meet and greet
