Visit with school kids

Kids loved the variety of butterflies, as it is enclosed it's easy to keep everyone together too. Nice and warm inside, good activity to do with children

It sounds a bit boring but it is a really interesting place to stop. Set in a campground (also very pretty spot) the butterfly house is quite large and filled with stunning pretty butterflies flitting around. Children will love this. If you're into tropical plants you'll love it for this reason too. Giant heliconias, ginger plants, telopeia, pitcher plants etc... More

This is like stepping into another world. The beauty of the plants, their flowers and of course the colourful butterflies stops you in your tracks. The immediate ambiance is one of peace and tranquillity. After the acclimatisation phase wears off one starts to take a closer look at the butterflies and tropical plants and there is sheer beauty every where.... More

My kids and I had a great time at the Butterfly and Orchid Garden. Once we worked out that we could demist our cameras under the cool fan near the back, we were off! Trying to capture each and every butterfly before it fluttered off to the next stunning orchid bloom! Perfect way to spend a morning if you have... More

It was just a small place and took me around 15 mins to visit it. The butterfly house is pretty and there were lots of nice butterflies and tropical plants but it was just really overpriced for all that it was, Given how long you can spend there. I don't like to condem attractions but it just wasn't worth the... More

This is a tricky one to review. My camera hated it! They provide a small fan heater which you can use to warm your camera up and get rid of the moisture on the lens. This sort of worked (the lens cleared but the screen didn't which was very frustrating - however, the iPhone had no problems with the humidity... More

I think this would be a lovely attraction for avid butterfly and orchid enthusiasts who would like to take the time to study the plants as well as the butterflies. The butterfly house is small but very pretty. We arrived at about 10am and there were not many butterflies flying around, almost all that were about were of the same... More
