We have been to Margs a few times and done a couple of tours and this one was by far the best. Chris is great and is happy to take suggestions and he knows so much about the region you really feel that you have learnt something. The lunch at hay shed hill is lovely and a beautiful setting.
It is definitely worth the price tag. A small group with excellent knowledge and plenty of wine! We have more friends coming out in March and will definitely be choosing top drop again!

This small group tour is an excellent way of exploring the Margaret River region and tasting some fabulous wines along the way. We were picked up promptly from our accommodation and taken to five different boutique wineries. There was no pressure to buy wine (even though we did) and we learned a lot about the history of winemaking in Margaret River. Lunch was delicious and accompanied by more wine. Our final stop was at Providore where we were able to taste a variety of gourmet jams and relishes, all of which are made on the premises. Chris was the perfect host ensuring that the day ran smoothly and everyone’s tastes were catered for. We didn’t feel hurried at all and had plenty of time at each stop. Would definitely recommend!

What a great day out! Chris is very knowledgeable on wine and all things associated with the Margaret River Region. He takes the time to get to know you and then plans the day based on your interests. We were taken to a number of cellar doors where the people we met were equally friendly and the lunch at Clairault Wines hit the spot on a cold winters day. Chris is extremely personable and was happy to answer all our questions (I have plenty!). While we have been to Margaret River many time before we learnt new things and discovered new places. This was a wonderful day and I can't recommend Top Drop tours enough!

Easter was a busy time in Margaret River. We were visiting for first time and where recommended by a local operator during our booking of a tour with him for just prior to Easter to try Top Drop.
We had beautiful weather for our trip but Easter Saturday was a bit of a wet one,not to worry as the tasting rooms was the key.
The tour includes hotel pickup and. Really excellent lunch definite highlights. Beyond that it was just a minibus fully laden with multiple stops. We where booked in at vineyards but when we arrived at some other patrons from same tour where there... Or no priority preference or acknowledgement was made. Certainly we don't mind waiting if an experience is on offer or small group atmosphere can be raised... But it just felt a bit lifeless and rush rush here there ie... A carbon copy wine tour.
We drank plenty great wine and enjoyed the boutique vineyards we went to but a few of bigger options were not tasting as good as others from the weekend... Certainly one highlights was a vineyard that was tacked on as the whole bus felt tour was ending too early.
I don't know... There are lots wine tours in lots wine regions and this is just like most of them, had expected bells and whistles due to accolades they advertise but if this had not had our expectations so high guess got what we paid for. Tour guide was friendly... But barely recognised us the next day when bringing another tour past.... Guess fair enough in world of business. Do your research there is some exciting options in Margaret River.

Hi DrY13,
Thank you for your review.
Please accept our apologies for not meeting your expectations, we take 100% responsibility for this.
Easter Saturday is the busiest day of the year in Margaret River and the persistent rain this year threw up some challenges to both tour operators and wineries, which in your case we have failed to meet adequately.
I can assure you that all of our itineraries are individually planned, it is true that sometimes they will visit the same winery, however we try our best to ensure that they never cross over. Clearly on this particular day we didn't get this right. If we ran carbon copy tours we would get a lot more sleep, have a much lower phone bill and would not get consistently excellent reviews here on TripAdvisor.
It's great that you enjoyed the lunch and at least one of the amazing wineries that we visited on the day. We spend countless hours sourcing the best suppliers, with the aim of setting Top Drop Tours apart from our competition.
I will personally do a review of all of the tours that ran on Easter Saturday and ensure that the issues that you have raised are addressed appropriately.
Regards,
Chris

A lovely nicely-balanced tour. 3 wineries in the morning, followed by visits to chocolate, cheese and soap places after lunch. So a bit of a chance to sober up before driving again after the end of the tour.
A lovely, knowledgeable and engaging driver/guide with a great sense of humour.

My wife and I were picked up by Kerrie right at the time we were given. The small group turned out to be my wife and I. We were taken to some excellent wineries over the course of the day. A great lunch was included. I found Kerrie to be an extremely knowledgeable guide with in great depth knowledge regarding wines and wine making as well as the local area in general. We could not have asked for better. By far the best tour I have ever taken. My wife and I had a great day with wonderful company. Thank you Top Drop Tours.

I had a great time with Kerry touring a few of Margaret River's wineries. She presented us a nice range of wineries and really spent time with us talking about the local wines and even provided some pairings to really explore the flavors of the local wines.
I highly recommend this tour.

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for your fantastic review.
We love it when our guests are interested in the wine industry, how wine is produced and how food and wine play off each other, so do the wineries that we visit!
Regards,
Chris

What a fantastic day! Chris, our driver was very friendly from the time he picked us up to dropping us off. We were lucky as the bus was full and given we had been to Margaret River many times before, the tour decided to give us an intimate experience in a private vehicle. Chris took us to 5 wineries (2 we had been to before but loved) and 3 we had never experienced before. He chose these based on what wines we liked to drink and we certainly were not disappointed. His knowledge of the local area, wineries and current news was excellent. We had lunch at Clairault which was scrumptious (tapas style lunch) and the lady that had served us even gave us extra samples to have with our lunch. We certainly had 5 star treatment and service all day, and would highly recommend this tour to others.

Hi Pax,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your tour.
In winter we occasionally have the flexibility to shuffle groups around and upgrade a few lucky groups to a private tour.
We thought that you might appreciate this, being regular visitors to the region on a day when most of the other guests booking our Margaret River Revealed small group tour were first time visitors.
We hope you enjoy the wine you took home, make sure to keep your hands of the good stuff for as long as possible, it will be worth the wait.
Regards,
Chris

We booked through these guys last minute with only two days notice. We went to five wineries as well as a great lunch. They were on time and very good. Lunch was very good. These guys made Margaret River awesome! Best part is they will pick you up at your hotel. BA level in Australia is 0.05 so no need to ever drive with these guys.
well done!

Hi Will,
Thanks for taking the time to write a review for Top Drop Tours.
We love last minute bookings (when we have availability that is), particularly those that come via twitter. It's great to see your tweet asking about tour operators in Margaret River generated responses that ended up with us sharing a fabulous day in our version of paradise.
We hope you have made it back to Chicago safely and that the memories of the amazing Margaret River Cabernets that you tasted will stay with you forever!
Chris

Ray took us on a day out in Margaret River to four very different wine producers. It was interesting and informative and we had a delicious lunch too. We are so pleased we did the tour and would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in wine.

Hi there
We'd like to do a good wine tour of Margaret River but just checking which vineyards are included on your full day tour. Please advise as we'd like to include the best. Many thanks.

Thanks for quick reply. Sounds promising...so if we give you a list of 4 must go to ones that's okay? Probably the best and others will want to as well, but please advise. Meant to ask too how many people are on a tour?
Cheers
