Outstanding experience!

This was the only dive shop in Maafushi that responded to emails or Whatsapp messages which is why I chose them initially. They were very clear about the pricing policy and when it came to paying there were no surprise extras or taxes. Even though they were very busy with a large Norwegian tour group they made time for me to have individual tuition with senior dive instructor Adham and I successfully achieved my Open Water Diver Certificate and then had another 5 dives. All the dives were interesting. I saw a shipwreck, sharks, mobular rays, eagle rays, turtles, black and white and other corals and many many many reef fish. The dive guides were all qualified trained instructors as you would expect and they strictly maintained safety protocols at all times. All the staff I met with were friendly and helpful. I had a very positive experience and would happily recommend Maldives Passions both for diving lessons and recreational dives.

Best diving center in Maafushi

We did our dives with Maldives Passions, the best diving center in Maafushi according to us. We dived with them 5 years ago and had a fabulous experience. During our second trip to Maafushi in 2022, we booked our dives again with Maldives Passions without hesitation. The crew including Marc and Neya are fantastic divers very professional and friendly. They know the area very well and take care of everyone. We would recommend this center for all divers, from learners to experienced divers.

Amazing Maldives Dive Experience

Wanted to fit in 2 dives in Maafushi while on a short trip and Maldives Passions was highly recommended for it's professionalism and safety. After diving with them, I would definitely recommend diving with them.

My friends and I went to the dive shop to see what they offer to Open Water certified divers and signed up for the 2 morning dives the following day. Price for each dive is very reasonable. Equipment rental is included(wetsuit is optional and additional cost), but if you have your own equipment, pass it to them and they will help you to set it up on the boat.

The Maldives Passion boat is big with a sun deck, toilet and tea provided after every dive. The dive masters were all very friendly and would chat and joke with everyone to make sure we all had a good time and felt comfortable diving with them.

As I only have 10 dives with my Open Water Certification, I was very concerned with diving somewhere new. But you can let your dive master know on the boat and the two dives in Maldives were the best and smoothest I have had. Safety talks were given before each dive to let us know what to do and what we can see.

My open water group was under the care of Marc and he took us to see a lot of different marine life, pointing out many unique creatures hidden amongst the corals. The first dive I struggled with the current and buoyancy but on the second dive after tips from Marc, I could enjoy the second dive better and managed to see a lot of sharks.

Payment was made after all the dives as they believe your enjoyment and safety comes first. Diving with them was really great! 2 dive trips with them were too short and would definitely dive with them again if I go back to Maldives.

Best Dive Shop in Maldives

We were extremely lucky to choose Maldives Passions out of all the dive shops in Maldives. There we met some special people that made our diving experience outstanding. They chose the dive spots carefully based on the strength of the current and so that they would not repeat. The captain was so nice that he moved the boat to calmer waters for my parents to go snorkeling. Jamal was always willing to help us with the equipment, from going into the water to getting back on the boat. Neya's enthusiasm transforms each diving day into a joy. If you want to hear "Under the sea" from Little Mermaid sung in an air pocket inside a ship wreck, you've got to go with him. You will get the best underwater footage (for free). There is hardly any sea creature you will miss with them. I went diving in a lot of places around the world, but here were among the best. Thank you, Neya!

Great experience with fantastic team

I wanted to do a Open Water Course for long time so when we booked trip to Maldives I started looking for a dive school to do it. Luckily I found Maldives Passions, contacted Marc and had everything arranged even before we got to Maafushi. Once we got there everything was simple. Went to their office and from the beginning had a feeling tthat we have made the right choice. Neya, Sul and Adham were very professional from the start, explained everything that I needed to know about the course and adventure was ready to start. Sul was our instructor and everything he did and explain was easy to understand, from theory and skills we did in the Maafushi lagoon all the way to dives we did in ocean. Not for one moment have I felt insecure about anything, they showed us some great diving sites and most of all every time we walked into their office we felt welcomed and sort of like friends. After finishing OWD course I have booked more dives with them that were a lot of fun with fantastic and friendly atmosphere on their boat. My wife, who was uncertain about diving in the beginning did Discovery Scuba with Adham and loved it so much that she is going to take her OWD course. Maldives Passions is the precious gem of Maafushi island because they do their job as their name says, with passion and I would recommend them highly to anyone who wants to go diving while in Maafushi. We'll be coming back for sure...:)

Enjoyable Experience

This was really an amazing experience with maldives passion. The instructor was really friendly & experienced. After teaching us all ins and outs they have taken us for dives. The lagoon dive was much enjoyable. You can rely upon them 100% for sure. As we have not done it earlier so they have hold us & taken us under water. For this we actually missed more good photos & videos. They have not taken the money for photo video also.
In Aug 2022 we have done this activity for 77 USD per person. It may vary during season to season.
If you do scuba diving in Mafushi Island then directly you may hit their shop....HAPPY DIVING...

The worst diving company

The worst company I have ever seen. They have 3-4 employees, none knows his work. I asked for photo and video, did diving, then learnt that nobody informed diver for taking photos and videos, the diver said me come back tomorrow, we'll do again and take photos. I went back the next day, they said: oh you have flight today, we can't. But they knew that I had a flight. And the man says:Madam, the problem is solved, I asked: how? He said: You will not do payment for taking video and photos. I didn't know what to reply to so stupid sentence. Even didn't do any discount for satisfying customer. Briefly, professionalism, business and this company are separate each other.

Advanced Course SSI very good

When I saw the good review I decided first to go to Maafushi and do the Advanced Diver Course with Maldives Passions. It was an excellent decision, the instructor Soul was really amazing sharing with me his diving wisdom. The other at staff, Neya, Mohammed, captain Sato and Marc were very friendly and funny making our diving time unforgettable. We also did an amazing dive at the famous dive site Kandooma Thila were I saw many eagle rays and grey reef sharks. The night dive was awesome, morea and sting ray hunting, weird lobsters, and bio plancton. After leaving Maafushi, I went to other island Dharavandhoo and Fuvahmulah und there I met people who didn’t had good experience at Kandooma Thila with others guides, what made me recognize even more the hability and capacity of Soul and the staff of Maldives Passion to know exactly how to explain the briefing and guide us through an amazing experience at Kandooma Thila. Thank you guys!

Thank you very much for taking your time for such a nice & detailed review :) Kandooma Thila can be a (very) challenging dive site indeed, which makes the dive briefing even more important than for other places... Correctly assessing the conditions AND the abilities of the diver are another key components over there, and you should not hesitate to choose an alternate spot if necessary.... Too often, other dive centers will "push their luck" there, making what should be an amazing experience something borderline scary... At Maldives Passions, we never get over confident in our (and in our customer's) capacities, and we rather switch plans when/if necessary. Diving can only be fun if done safely, and we're glad you fully appreciated this when you dived with us :) Kind Regards from the whole team.

The BEST dive centre in Maldives

Maldives Passions is THE best dive center in Maldives. Marc is a professional diver who has been diving for almost three decades and has thousands of dives under his belt. I got my Open Water Certification training from Marc and Sofwan. Sofwan is an amazing trainer who has great knowledge and patience. I was very happy with my experience and wouldn't think twice before going to them again!

We spend 172$ for scuba diving staff was friendly.
Before starting our trip we explain that we don't know how to swim dive team they said it's fine. After that they took us nearest beach (walking distance ) and they start giving training after 20 minutes training they took us in public beach and 10 minutes of scuba dive they said it's finish.

Next day we spend 50$ for snorkeling seriously guys snorkeling was far better then scuba dive. In 50$ we enjoy a lot.
