Made several visits to see the whales and their babies while in Warrnambool. Was lucky enough to spot at least one mother and calf on each occasion. You need to be patient and wait around for them to appear from the water. Sometimes it's just...More

A fantastic location to watch the whales. We were lucky that this day the whales were close to the shore line. Recommended binoculars as if the whales are little off shore they can be hard to see.

We visited the Whale Watching platform at Logan's beach twice during a four day stay and were fortunate enough to see the whales ( 2 adults and 2 calves) both times. The view of the whales from the platform was quite good.

Each year, roughly between late May and early October, Southern Right Whales return to their nursery at Logan's Beach to give birth and raise their calves. This is an extract from the visit warnambool web site.
