We enjoyed wandering around this place. It is a great display of farming history. We also had a reasonable priced lunch. Full of history.

Pioneer Settlement is well set out. plenty to see, good eatery, with sensible pricing. At the photographic shop for only $5 you can dress up in period clothes and take photos using your own camera, now that's a bargain. Watched a butter making demo while we were there. Take a ride on The Pyap paddle steamer (extra cost) You can... More

Pioneer settlement was very interesting and informative. Went onto paddle steamer but couldn't understand a word that the master was saying. Not sure if there were problems with the speaker system. Had coffee at the cafe within the park. We had to wait at least 20 minutes before we received one coffee and there was not anyone else waiting to... More

After a 20 year gap we came back to visit the Swan Hill Pioneer Village. We bought the package ticket which includes, entry into the village,a ride on the paddle steamer "Pyap", and entry to the amazing "Light & Laser" show the Heartbeat of the Murray. While it was still interesting to stroll around the village, and ride the paddle steamer, the standout... More

We visited there for two consecutive days. It was great. All the staff there was very sweet and friendly. They loved to have a chat with us. Almost all the staff in the settlement were so eager and excited to talk to us. The driver of the vintage car shared with us about how do they maintain all the vehicles... More

The pioneer village has plenty to see and takes you back in time to how life was for those who settled here early. There were primary school groups here the day we arrived so clearly a popular place for children. The entrance fee covered a ticket for 2 days so if you wanted to come back to do Murray river... We visited on Saturday, the day before father's Day, and there was minimal interactive experiences inside the venue. We paid for what we believed would be a memorable experience, but were hugely disappointed. While it was pleasant to walk around the village and see/read the history portrayed, it failed to provide all that it is promoted as being.... even the... More

We bought the packaged that allowed access to the park for 2 days, riverboat trip and the light show. The light show exceeded expectations. The village had schools visiting and there activities such as playing old time games made it a very enjoyable day.
