I can't say enough about this company. It was booked as a surprise Trip by my husband through red balloon which included the flight and two wineries. for my 60th birthday. When we arrived in Barwon heads and I saw what we would be doing I went into a bit of a panic because of past experiences overseas with helicopter flight. But my husband talked me into going in. We were greeted by Jack. I explained my anxiousness about doing the flight. He took the time to reassure me I would be in safe hands and it was a perfect day for flying. After a brief safety chat. We settled into the helicopter. I was still nervous. But Jack kept asking if I was ok. It felt like a gentle flight over the coast to our first winery jack rabbit which had incredible views. The staff were great. We had lunch and drinks which were amazing definitely in my must return to place. then an hour later we we're back in the air onto Mr grubb. Where we had drinks and dessert. Unfortunately jack had to leave us for another job. But said Anton the owner would collect us. Just allow 10 minutes from the call. He did turn. Up in the allotted time. He was very friendly and again a great relaxing flight back to where we started . I can't recommend them enough for family and friends. And would definitely fly with them again.

My husband and i were given a 5 minute voucher as a gift. Due to the lockdown, we were unable to redeem the voucher and it expired. when i rang to see if i could still use it, i was told i could, however it would cost an additional $30 for the 5 minute ride. we were prepared to pay the extra amount. we arrived in Geelong only to find that the helicopter was not there and when i rang, the staff member told me we would have to go to Barwon Heads as the helicopter was there. we were not able to go that day. i rang 2 weeks later to ensure our drive from Melbourne to Geelong would again not be in vain, however yet again, we could not redeem the flight. we finally decided to go to Barwon Heads a month later. i rang to let them know we were on our way to redeem the 5 minute voucher- the staff member told me he would ring me back, but never did. we took our chances and went to the helipad point. Another flight took off ahead of us- it was a 40 minute flight so we decided to go for a coffee rather than sit in the draughty room.the staff member reminded us that it would cost an additional $30 to fly which we agreed, but refused to reserve our spot even though we said we would be back before the flight landed. His reasoning for not reserving our spot was completely illogical and it was then that i realised that he did not want us to fly. However we persisted, and when we came back from our coffee the helicopter was being refuelled and no one was in the office. i rang the staff member again and told him we were back and ready for our 5 minute flight. He said that the helicopter would be ready soon and it would cost an additional $50! i argued that he had said it would cost us an additional $30 only one hour before, but he said it is not worth taking the helicopter up for 5 minutes ....needless to say, my husband and i left very upset- we were NOT prepared to be ripped off by a rude and arrogant staff member. So GEELONG HELICOPTERS have now pocketed over $100 for doing nothing except upset 2 more people.Ultimately, i do not understand why this company offers a 5 minute flight on their vouchers if they do not think that it is worth it! I cannot comment on the pilot because we never got to meet him, but the staff member i was dealing with is rude, unreasonable and very poor attitude. i will NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone.

Friendly staff and the pilot explained sights in the distance and points of interest as you flew past. The Corio Bay flight is a very affordable experience for the whole family (adults $60 kids $50). Kids loved it. I would recommend to everyone

My father and sister were given vouchers for a 5 minute joyride over the bay ride for chistmas. After purchasing the tickets the only thing we were told was that they wont fly in bad weather conditions. Fair enough. And that there is a 3 person max per flight... cool we only wanted 2 tickets. When we go to use them (it is mid 20's. Degrees. Low wind good visibility. They are told nope. "Ya over the weight limit we have set for today! Ya will have to go somewhere else for a joy flight but you will gave to pay another $100!" Anton was rude... aggressive in his attitude and could not of cared less. When queried about us not being told about any weight issues when we got the vouchers. He said its on the web site. We checked... its a very ambiguous terms and conditions. Neither voucher holder is more than mildly over average in weight l might add. And neither is over the 136kg per person. That is specified as the maximum weight per person. Would not recommend them to anyone! Also they could not use their vouchers (seperate vouchers one each) on their own they had to be used together! So it was a total waste of money. Not happy.
