Whilst the pier looks inviting, the long walk to the buildings at the end reveals a set of private function rooms that completely block off views of Corio bay..

Lovelly stroll along the historic pier.. Quiet area early in the morning to take in the view of the ocean and the coast. Watch the fishermen after their catch of the day.

This old pier was apparently used to load wool and as you walk along the old railway tracks are still visible. An entertainment venue is at the end of the pier but the walk out is worthwhile on this piece of Geelong history.
There are some restaurants at the end - but I didn’t go to them so won’t talk about them.
It’s a nice walk - on the water nice view. But it’s mostly a car park.
